connect the funk
got to the party at 11:30pm, excellent array of partiers, hippies, older crowed, a mix of cracked out and very interesting people..in one small space. the venue of this party has no applause from me as it had little to no ventilation and the no ins and outs policy made it difficult for someone such as myself to escape the clouds of ciggarett smoke and crushing amounts of people. aside from this, i went sober for the first time and to my surprise i picked up a lot of connection highs...feeling high from my atmosphere, everyone was in excellent spirits. lorins set was excellent aside from the technical errors, seems there were too many power units running off the breaker so we lost power 3times with the visuals running. i didnt get to see the end of lorin's set as my party was etremely exhasted and had work this morning early, so i departed at 2:15am... i really wanted to stay, apparently the venue was going to move to a bigger location as it was exceeding its max ass capasity. sooo many faces, so little memory of names. anyone else get in to this party and expreience it longer then i? please finish the night! as far as i can say from my short time there, it was great! Despite the heat and technical difficulties when I got there around 12ish
I still had a fun time. it was way too crowded and hot during Lorin's set. So, sat out near the entrance for some and very limited cool breeze. When shift came on, I was bumpin and grindin, still hot but less crowded I even got his cd Visual's coming out of the projector was pretty sweet. Too bad the party ended around 4ish I cheked my email today and I had won a ticket to the show even though I bought one....heh, too late now. |

shit i guess that means that you and your friends will not be comin to see the next funk elective event hey Jungle(s)??..even though its in the big studio with huge tall ceilings and BIG visuals and LOTS OF VENTILLATION and Room
( man we were packed in tight on sat!) there will not be the huge "naturalistic hippy " crowd that follwos DJ Lorin either...although i really enjoy partying with those kids! (yeah i am FROM NELSON HIPPY TOWN~!) cheaper too: cause i wont be hiring a WORLD CLASS DJ>>>BUT SAME SICK ASS VIBE..just COOLER TEMPERATURES AND LESS CROWDED!!!! Ps: looks like everyone hadda pretty good time to me in those pics alex the spider man / rocks dancin guy funk elective manager Last edited by suplex; Dec 18, 03 at 10:27 AM. |

i have a HUGE industrial fan--because i summers i pour concrete in Nelson and we use it to move air when we pour bassment floors........
but i KNEW that we wouldnt have enough power to run the sound 3 cd decks, the video wall and the projections in studio A (small one) .... In studio B the place is wired up AS A MULTIMEDIA STUDIO and prjectors are all mounted and its all ready to go~ so ill bring my huge ass fan and we will all be STOKED. speakin of which..I'm goin boardin! "scissors?? NO!! Paper??? NO!" - - - - -!!!!!!!!!!!!" merry xmas from boogaley boy! |
