I wouldnt go as far as saying it was the best trance set in the last 2 years but it was more then decent. I never have liked the Cave and since it wasnt that packed a little smaller more intimate of a club would of done this night more justice...Other then that Dumonde came out ripping as usual with quite a hard pounding set...Another thing I have to congratulate these 2 German dj's on is the crowd interatction, it made the night way more pleasurable always smiling, pointing and on a couple occations and shaking the crowds hands and saying thank you...Nice guys and simply just looked like they were enjoying there selfs which can make a good set that much better.

first off i have to say, WHAT A WHACK CROWD!!! when we first walked into the cave (which is a grimy club to begin with) me and my ladie friends and my buddy actually questioned, will this be a good night? why do i have to ask myself this question when superstar djs dumonde, djs jamx and deleon are in the house? however, once dumonde opened with the traditonal intro "when jamx and deleon come together..." the crowd dissapeared, and i became one with the trance. dont get me wrong about the crowd too. there were some true fans up front showing their support like they should be. but where were the real trance guys like jake and sean? maybe everyone was just a little bit wiped from newyears 2 nights before. but if u were a real trancer you would have found the energy in your pathetic soul to make your way out to this one, BECAUSE IT WAS A REAL KILLER !!! amazing performances by jamx and deleon made it a real night. and to the guy taking the pics, post them up, or send them all to [email protected]. thanks to all who showed, and thank the promoters who know that there are people like me who have been waiting to see these guys when they are not at a rave party. maybe u guys could get the comodore too next time, if it isnt to expensive.even though they raised the price to $20 at the end, i was more than happy to pay the price for an excellent show. one more thing... JAMX, DELEON, ON THE WHEEEEEEEEELS!

p.s id like to thank again the promoters, and maybe bring GTR aka gareth emery to a club an id be there for sure.

yeah that was me... one problem on the cab ride home my camera slipped out of my pocket and i never noticed... I'm fearing it might be gone forever.... contacted the taxi company and distributed some "lost" posters around the cab company's building.. The lost and found doesnt open until monday so I hope it gets turned in then... That incident ruined my whole night and I at the end I even got to get a picture with my arms around Jamx & De Leon, now that's prolly gone :finger:

Overall wicked night though

Dumonde was intense.

I was laughing with Darren that they were only one hour into their set and couldn't possibly play any harder. DeLeon over heard us and just cracked a smile at us.

They spun tracks that have yet to be released and that was such a treat. The new remix of Blue Monday is amazing.

Props to Solid for bringing them back in a club environment for us to enjoy. It is just a shame that NYE took such a toll on the crowd that would have come.

Now if you can only get John '00' Fleming in for a 3-4 hour set. :c-tard:

I'd like to know what was with charging $20 at the door? When we got to the door they told us $20. We asked why, because it was supposed to be $15, the girl at the door said "Oh because the other guy showed up and we weren't expecting him." Expecting who? The other guy from Du Monde? Because the last time I checked it was "Du Monde" that was coming as a whole, not just Jamx or just Deleon of Du Monde alone. Plus, I thought for "Solid Sessions" special events its $15 to get in? So something sounds kind of fishy. Furthermore the girls at the door were rather rude and snotty. I usually wouldn't mention it but this isn't the first time they've been like that and I dont even know them.

The drinks were also pretty shitty, my buddy was drinking rum and cokes for $5.25(or was it $5.75) in a small plastic cup. The only redemption for the whole night was Du Monde's set. The tracks were great, as was the energy. But in the end I think last night will be my first and last Solid Sessions perhaps the last Solid(or Shy brothers or whatever the hell they're calling themselves these days) event ever.I like leaving an event with the feeling that I enjoyed myself rather than the feeling
that I've been ripped off. :(

I agree with you. The night was advertised as "dumonde" as a group not just one guy. Even on the tickets it said both people. Go figure. ???

I doubt drink prices are up to them, but rather the club. As for cover, I don't think that $20 is particularly unreasonable, but that said they probably jacked the price up last minute due to low presales.

personally i think the cover wuz a good price to pay for such good talent like dumonde....who ever wuz there that night would have to agree with me that that wuz one hard fuckN set and worth every penny charged for cover...and as for the drinks are concerned every bar charges the same amount so stop all the winning bout this wuz xpensive and so wuz that... over all all worth every single PENNY

^the problem is lame ass excuses. People don't like being told one price but when the time comes they get charged something else but it's easy or you to tell the complainers to shut up when you probabaly got in for free, isn't it?
I dunno about you but over iced drinks in a little plastic disposible cup doesn't really seem reasonable to me. At least they poured my Smirnoff ice into a plastic beer cup :y: woohoo :|
