I've been reading a lot of these posts and I wasn't sure how, or even if, to respond to any of them. I must say, though, that I do have a rather radical opinion of the subject. I was young(er) once, and I did some fucking crazy shit. I hurt a lot of people.
And, yes, I 'emotionally scarred' members of my family for some of my actions; but, I mean I actually 'hurt' people just to get my $20 fix. To all you people who harass hookers, you're the same ones who gonna get jumped for $11 bucks when you're stumbling home some night. When some day like that comes, don't wonder why. Yeah, it was a dumb, heartless, immature thing to do.
But come on people, lighten up a little. The girl feels bad enough already. Like all of you didn't do anything stupid that you regret when you were that age. My guy friends in highschool did Whalley drive-bys all the time. Unfortunately dumb highschool kids don't realize that hookers are actually people, and instead use them for cheap laughs. Exotica, you used a pie from Timmy Ho's? What a waste of a good pie :( |

and the 'I'm so sorry' thread in the other section doesn't do much for me either - because it sounds a little more like she's so sorry that people don't resepct her opinion or she's so sorry people don't agree with her actions If she really felt that bad - why is it in the middle of this post there is still a request for stories? And if this was some other person standing out on the street I'd be willing to bet they wouldn't have thrown the pie - I'm happy to hear that others on this board stand up adn say it's wrong to treat others like that Seriously hucking things at hookers is like throwing things at children on a playground - I find them both equally disgusting Its the 'hookers aren't real people' and 'hookers are JUST JUNKIES' attitude that lead to Robert Pickton being able to steal away so many and the police didn't do one fucking thing We all need to stand up and be harsh about things like this - and for me I find it particularly disgusting when women do it -- 'There except for the Grace of God goes I' think about it - we don't choose what circumstances we are born into -- If you've ever met hookers or pimps I think you'd find pretty damn quickly that this is rarely if ever a profession that they remain in by choice I don't think most of us can even begin to understand what makes someone reach the point of selling their bodies --- And seriously, how sad must apersons life be if they get a pie thrown at them and they do nothing about it Wanna know why? Cause they don't think they are worth making a fuss over - they think no one cares about them and guess what - your actions just further solidify that thought You're sorry? A lot of good that does saying it to us Drive back downtown and dole out your apologies to that woman |

You kids really need to find some decent hobbies...unless of course you are willing to all stand in a line, while the rest of us throw pies and eggs at you.....never feels good being on the recieving end....i do believe in Karma, lock your doors.

Perhaps but I don't think that all the comments are just directed at her. I was shocked at the over all acceptance in the begining of the thread of these actions. I'm sure she felt bad about throwing a pie like she should regardless of who she does it too.
But her views on hookers upsets me. Perhaps I grew up with a mother that was always trying to teach me respect for people that are living a hard life. Not everyone has that. But I guess it makes me upset to hear about people kicking a person when they are down. And then trying to say that they deserve the life they have. |

Actually Miska, if I was 12/13/14 I doubt I would be saying that. The people I hung out w/ at 17 weren't into throwing things at people w/ trashy lives. I made it a point to not hang out w/ people who thought that is was fun to push things like garbage cans over.
And Lauren, I couldn't agree w/ you more. Last edited by Rhianna; Mar 30, 04 at 04:21 AM. |

And for the record, I've never even CONSIDERED doing something that callous, and I've given my friends shit for just throwing CHANGE at hookers, let alone chicken fetii and baked goods. My parents raised me to be a compassionate human being, not a prissy, stuck-up, heartless, callous little WASP. I may do stupid shit from time to time, but I'm not ignorant, and I don't announce my ignorance in such a childish fashion as so many people in this thread have.
