i thought he was amazing. but i had to be up at 6 this morning, so i only stayed for about 15 minutes of his set. totally disappointed. i was hoping he'd start earlier. but what i did hear was great.

pffft last night was ridiculous...this dude blew cold air into the audience a couple times during some real epic shit and Darude used these flash cards to "talk" to the audience the whole night. And he went till 2:30am which I was pretty surprised about. A nice mix of techno and trance and a sweet remix of sandstorm to finish it off where he threw in some breaks.
DJ Dan in 12 hours =) Sweet show last year, should be again. |

Good times at Aubar. Although I was surprised and disappointed at how many ravers showed up. The majority of the high class "social elite" there couldn't dance worth shit and there were two barstars who just really annoyed the hell out of me. This one dumbass at the front kept calling his friends and handing the phone to Darude to talk to them. WTF? Signing records is one thing, but getting the DJ to say whatsup to your friends for the sake of bragging rights is just bullshit. I hate the fact that some people only know this guy for Sandstorm, as it was his big track that broke into mainstream radio, cuz Ville played some really great epic trance as well, which some clubbers there just didn't understand. LOL.
He played a technically flawless set, which made me really, happy, dropped a few classics, with which he accompanied a flash card reading "CLASSIC". Then there was "Da WHO?", "Hello Vancouver", and "Earplugs?" flashcards which just made me laugh. Oh yah and let's not forget his crudely drawn picture of the Finland flag. I guess he's patriotic :P The only thing that took away from his set was that he used only cds, which is less cool to watch and then there was some dumbass mc who wouldn't shut up. Think an old fat version of Kraig who is annoying as Kraig is suave. :) "Loud & Proud" "Senior Darude", fuck shut up you old cheese ball. Hahah, otherwise great party and thanks for the autographs, Ville! |

wasn't as good as imf, but i love his signs :)
missed the WE LOVE BASS DRUM ;) yeah whats with ppl passing him phones to talk to their friends.. (actually i handed him my phone, but it was a personal message telling him how much i loved him at imf) detn8r dont hate half the set i was wondering what was missing, i just wasn't feeling him that night... he layed a few good tracks down, and for $15 it was a good night. and my camera sucked :\ actually it wasn't mine so out of 30 pics i only got a few keepers</bitch> was nice meeting you sean.. hope to be able to stay up to hear you at outbound flight . kristina says hi |
