Sans any reputation or notable experience, as everyone else is pointing out with the holes in your flyer, this sounds pretty good. But don't get carried away trying too hard if you're gonna be charging large. This isn't 1997 after all.
You know. In retrospect, raving is much cheaper these days. |

Miska and Kandyapple: I'll definitly consider it.. U'd be workin at the rally point tho.. nothin happens at the door of the venue, once your in the shuttle you are in the party.... thats how it works, no shuttle no party...
Ulala: Don't Care wut ya wear, PJ's would be perfect, they just have to look cool, however about the bootay shorts... :366: Tickets: $20 for the first 30, $25 for the next 30, $30 for the next 100, $35 anything over that... and $40 at our lovely rally points... you can buy VIP upgrades for $10 in advance with your pre-purchased ticket, or $15 at the Rally point(s)... and If you are getting your ticket and a VIP pass at the Rally point you can get both for $50(lil bonus).... Money: If someone saw my flyer and wanted to know more about it because they couldn't find the date on it, they would call the trusty infoline; thats what its there for, and if they just threw it away because it has no date I wouldn't want them at the party anyway... But, yes i should have had the date on it.... A Lingerie Party is a THEME of a party and it was an idea once apon a time, i bet there has been many parties like this around the world in time, so its not too fresh anyway... At least I spelt Lingerie right in the flyer's ... and If i was "doormat", that means i would let people walk all over me, not going to happen... Ticket Prices: the prices are set at what they are to make the party happen, i won't sell anyone short, they will get what they pay for... Do you think it is really right to try and make parties cheaper at this point and time in BC??? if anything it should be MORE expensive... Everything that is takes to throw a party is getting more pricey, why should tickets get cheaper.. I mean we all love a "free" party, but you really do get what you pay for... I refuse to sell cheaper tickets becuase then i would have to do a half ass job on the party... That won't happen.. After everything works out, you really do get what you pay for, and sometimes more... If parties were more expensive back in 97', and they were much more liked by everyone, how come parties are now not as liked yet they are cheaper than back then??? could there be a realation??? tickets may be cheaper because promoters cut corners, but cutting corners makes the party cheap, so is that the reason they arent liked as much??? lets find out shall we... CDJ's: They'll be there... Precise: Man, I'm sooo sorry, it won't happen again, but the good news is I put you on my fresh flyers!! K I'm Done. |

If you insist they are justifiable ticket prices for an underground party, you are a really really shitty event planner who should take event planning 101 @ BCIT |

thank you... i've been saying this for a long time.. the ticket money is what makes the party... of course people want the cheap party, but i'd rather go to a really good party and blow my paycheck there.... it's really hard to throw a party if you don't have enough money to do a good job... i will most deffinately be at this party, c u there.. ulala in booty shorts eh ? |

I would love to see you throw a party that goes all night long, in a venue that isn't burnt out by our lovely promoters that try to cut corners and make the tickets cheaper by not taking care of the issues... and I am not sure but i don't think that Event Planning @ BCIT was directed towards "Underground Raves".... its more of an experience thing for parties like this.. the quality i put into my events is what makes tickets cost so much... i don't think that $40 at a Rally point has gotten to much for an all night party.. think about it a high school dance is anywhere between $5-$7 that goes between 3-4hrs with one dj. A party like this is 10 hours long, it has over 8 dj's, two rooms, and an unbeleiveable vibe that you wont get from a Cheap Highschool dance.. and my tickets are starting at $20.. so thats a good deal..
This party won't be like a party any of you have seen in a long time... It's definitly going to be one to remember... Quote:

I do agree though, that is a very steep ticket price, especially with police nailing almost every undeground party lately. You might have an ok time with the first 60 tickets but after that you're gettins too expensive. Lots of underground parties are going for max. 25@the door. You have multiple rooms and only 8 dj's spinning? Everyone has like 3 hour sets or something? I'd reccomend adding some extra djs. Good luck with the party though ;) |
