NWDNB.BC.CA fundraiser
Big changes are ahead for nwdnb. NW has been connecting junglists in the Pacific North West for the past 6 years, and we have built a community which caters to our sound and we have users on the site who are open minded to all the forms of our beloved breakbeat. The increase of bandwidth usage is only to blame on the popularity of the dj’s that host their mixes on our server. However this has caused problems with our host provider in the past, such as, site crashes, lost posts, and even lost users. To keep the integrity of the site, nwdnb with the help of mighty Automatic Tuesday’s will host a fund raiser at the Lotus Sound Lounge. All proceeds from the event will go towards the purchase of a new server. The new server will in turn give users on the site the freedom to upload content such as pics and even dj mixes. NWDNB.BC.CA presents NDUB Series, a project in progress set to showcase the known talent that breaths heavily throughout the Pacific North West. As a series of one-off events, NDUB extends an invitation to dj's all around the NW to showcase their skills that make them top dogs in their home towns. It's a very exiting moment as all our scenes within the Pacific NW amplify, and with that growth new talents are born and recognized. With all that said & done throw some cheap drinks into the mix and instant jungle party!

He has played a major roll in Seattle becoming one of the top few citys for drum and bass in America. The Dowlz also runs Kaos Theory wich consistantly puts on the largest all drum and bass partys in the NW. As a DJ, he has been compared to Marky, Friction and Andy C as he is known well for his high energy, fast mixing, and serious dancefloor pressure. A true entertainer. with local heroes... Friday Jan 27th SHY FX UK Ebony Records, Contagious Musiq  Shy FX crashed the British pop charts in mid-1994 with "Original Nuttah," one of the most infectious ragga/jungle anthems of all time. Though the success proved a bit too much for him, he built his reputation back over the course of a few years and became one of jungle's most respected producers. Born in East London, Andre Williams debuted on S.O.U.R. Records (Sound of the Underground) with two 1994 singles, "Gangsta Kid" and "Sound of the Beast." His third for the label, "Original Nuttah," perfectly epitomized jungle's growing ragga-ruffneck style, with a light-speed rhythm track and rude-boy scatting from UK Apachi. Almost immediately after its release, the single ignited dance clubs, flew out of the stores, and eventually made the British charts. The quick success did little to endear Shy FX with the jungle underground, and his later pronouncements that he was the king of jungle didn't help either. Shy FX released just one more single for S.O.U.R., then virtually disappeared for several years after a major-label deal fell through. He finally emerged at the helm of his own label, Ebony, and with a growing list of tight singles like "The Message" and "Bambaataa," kinetic jump-up fusions of ragga attitude and old-school hip-hop themes. Shy FX also set up another label, Ivory, to release steady rollers by the likes of the 45 Roller -- almost undoubtedly Shy himself despite protests to the contrary.
