Slick
DJ Name - Slick
Email:[email protected] Genre Of Music: hip hop, funk, old school, 80's, house, breaks, dancehall, and classic rock. Affiliations: DA How long have you spinning the decks for? Under two years What originally hooked you into the DJing scene? I'd have to go with the obligatory "love of the music" answer. However, what got me to buy decks was the amount of boring/shitty djs there are out there. whenever i'd see djs play i was always thinking to myself, "I'd do this or that differently." Most expensive vinyl that you have paid for? - how much was it? Still the joint - sugarhill remixed/100$ What is your most treasured record and why? See above^^^ The remixes on this comp are nutty, and i dont think many people in this city have it. What events have you played at? DA events. Have you got any DJing horror stories? Being too damn nervous my first gigs playing out. With time though I've learned to be confident with my skills and just giv'er. Any other information? Wack DJ's beware.... pm from middle mike to me:
A story for your boy!!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two months ago Mike goes to a party. The party was at a girls house named Rachel. Arriving at 11:30 Mike expected the party to be bumping as parties like back home would be at this time. Everyone one was huddled in the kitched or on the balcony talking and lookign bored...There was no energy. Some soft guitar rock played in the background while everyone pretended to enjoy themselves. Just this last friday this was an annoucment in class Rachel would be throwing another party. Mike didn't feel like going but since it was so close to his house he thought he make an apperence. But try to spice things up a bit Music style. Armed with two bottles of Wine and a DJ SLICK Mix he rolled out to the party at 10:30. Once again the house was full and people were pretendign to have a good time. Sliding over to the CD he took out the Jack johnson CD placed in DJ Slick "You are all a bunch of ...." it started. With in 10 mintues the place was goign off. Motherfawkers were dancing every where on tables couches in everyroom. The party turned into a party! After the second time through the CD people where like lets go dance at the club! A fight almsot broke out of which car gets to take the tunes...luckily Mike had a Miek Relm CD to try to divide it up. Quote of the morning "I danced more at the house then at the club" Good shit PEACE |
