who is involved with Mixology because thinking over my night why was it my responsibility to look after your attendee? granted I took it upon myself to help with him up and get him functioning, but fucken hell it was your event you should have picked up where I could have left off. I was having a good time before my night was made a daycare. you all packed up and ran like a bunch of carnies. it shouldn't be illegal to have events like that but it should be illegal to be that stupid. that night could have went on if action was taken on your part. I have been to many field fests in my years, yes fights have broken out and people have been shaken up but the well organized people know what/how to straighten everything back out. calling in the screws is a last resort to a unscripted evening. figure it out.

Awesome night I must say!

Waiting around at coquitlam centre for an hour, then following the wrong shuttle wasn't that cool but the important part was that we got there :)

The location was awesome, at the very top of westwood plateau in a baseball diamond. Music was good, and the vibe was nice as well. I don't remember everything because of the beer but shoutouts to Tina, haha drunken raving all the way! Shawn for lending the speakers and for shuttling us there, and the langley ravers with the 'I'm rick james bitch" shirt hahaha.

We left at around 1 30 AM, sorry to hear about the fight, when did that happen?

myles, i totally respect yur opinion..you know that! it ws my desision to pack up and leave. this is due to the cops coming, and its lucky we got out of there when we did, as it was...we where the last car out that didnt get harased.

as for us taking care of the beaten kids, my parnter joe is a first aid attendent and was takin care of one of them. we did what we could on top of saving our asses.on top of that, every time i checked one of teh kids on the ground, they seemed to have enough people around them helpin out.
i just talked to one of the unfortunate kids, and he is still thanking me for putting on the show!

Around 2:15 i think.....

LOL for some reason everyone at the checkpoint thought this VW van was the shuttle...... took until maple ridge to figure out otherwise :D

i know why buddy got his ass beaten down. i woke up this morning and put a few fragmented memories together. he was lipping me off early in the party, just being an asshole. so my guess is that he liped off the wrong guy. he still didnt deserve quite what he got.. but i do say he had at least one fist coming his way.

fuck. that totaly fucked the mood tho.

ummm....try carrying down both speakers and one of the smaller ones, the table and much of the lighting in the beggining...and you thought one speakers was hard

On another note, I can speak for promoters in this situation, the promoters did what they could to help out in the situation (subbing for the medical attendants that arrived shortly in an ambulance)... the reason everything was packed up in a rush was
:
1) The spot the promoters chose was a construction yard hence intense fines and charges against the promoters.
2) Confiscated equiptment which wasnt the promoters (some rented) which could of costed a free party an additional 500-1000$ in reinbursment fees for the promoters due to the rental companies contract.
3) Jail time for trespassing and vandalism. (e.g breaking and entering a private site)
4) Insane record with the city for any future events (record for not having proper papers for mass gatherings, permission from the city of Coquitlam to use the "venue" etc etc)
5) No proper security to handle a mob of fighting drunks and etards. (Which is punishable.)
6) Impounded vechicles and maybe possible contraband confiscated (if any of the vechicles contained such paranphelia.) aswell as the promoters getting the blame for not having security screen this event (which ties in with5 #5)
7) Possible charge of man slaughter if people overdosed, the promoters were caught and then held responsible for the happenings of EVERYTHING that went on in the vicinity of the "underground rave"
and much much more.

I know 100% that you would not like to be stuck in that position.
Hope everyone can understand why the party did not go start up again...this isnt like the movie "Groove"...its real life.

If you want to have a party with the promotional company/those involved's name and/or reputation involved, no matter if it's free, you really have to keep security and first aid in mind. If you're going to allow young people to enter and exit as they please (also thereby excluding the concept of ROAR to not allow trouble makers in) and drink as much as they want, problems can happen..

this is why having at least one registered first aider on site, in addition to some sort of security (who aren't just scrawny dj's or promoters) which can be free, could just mean it's some friends of the promoters who are big enough to handle a situation if it escalated. It's common sense. The less you put up with bullshit at your parties, the less it's going to happen.
