Saturday, October 22nd marks the return of...
MIAMI NIGHTS @ the Waldorf Hotel w/ Special Live Performance by John Tennant & Ricardo Almeida Intimate, in association with Club, Mint and Ignite, present the 2nd installment of MIAMI NIGHTS, in which the first one in June featured San Fran house legend Chris Lum . Once again, we will feature a plethora of local talent from four musical genres: house, breaks, progressive and old skool hip hop. John Tennant and Ricardo Almeida are two of the best local live PA artists in BC. It's been some time since John has played in Vancouver, and he's flying in from the Kootenays a week before this show to practice with Ricardo. Their blend of techno and house brings the dancefloor to a flood of activity moreso than any other live PA act that we know of. Additionally, internationally recognized producer Mathew Jonson will open for these two, with a rare DJ set of dirty tech house. And our man, the founder of Cheeky and Intimate, DJ Abasi will open the room up In the Tiki Lounge, the promoters of some of busiest electronic nights this city has ever seen, Scott and Scott of Passion/Club Productions, present the Passion room. This room will feature an array of progressive and breaks by Scott Audio, Tantra and Colin Cox . If you have ever been to a Passion Rowing Club party or recall Club Fridays at the Lotus and then the Drink, you know what we're talking about. And last but not least, in the upstairs lounge the boyz from Real Wednesdays at Lucy Mae Brown's take full command. With MC illa Brown on the mic, local superstar hip hop DJs Kutcorners and Kenya roll out the best in old skool hip hop. Nuff said, these guys know how to rock it better than nobody out there. Kutcorners is producing some sick sick sh!t by the way - hence why rappers like Maestro Fresh Wes have been dropping by LMB on Wednesdays. So to recap, below is the line-up we goin' onnnn...
