i had alot of fun....those visuals in the main room were fucking INSANE!!!! house of 1000 corpses and shit, tripped me out wicked good. i was higher than a fucking kite, and i saw some tripped out costumes...
to those three guys with those white ball headed costumes...what were you guys?! i couldnt figure it out, but you reminded me of something.... a toss up between a filler cartoon on teletoon and a jack in the box bobble head on crack.. other than that, it was as rave as any other rave could be!!! [especially if you were as high as me!] :P |

yup just another hyped up party with soo much bullshit. i doubt i shall attend another solid party again. too much emphises on the main stage, and no effort put into the house stage. i stayed at the house stage the whole nite cuz it took over 15 mins just to get through all the wacked out nammers that packed the main stage...WTF? i also noticed that the house stage had the worst sound system ive ever heard at a massive. that type of shit makes me not want to invest my time/money into parties like that,,,,i kno its a shame. you'd think that solid would listen to advice like this and make some changes, but i guess it shows that they are all about $$. all in all, dooms nite was not worth my 70$. i should have went to the aquarium party instead.......man do i miss Twsited!

blah
Apex was far better-- best rave i ever went to.
paid 100 for my ticket, cuz i decided at the last minute i was gunna go. was seriously thinking about not going, but it was gunna be my friend's first rave and i hyped it up so much to her she was gunna kill me if i didn't go. the music wasn't all that great, ann savage was the best part of the night, my high came down way to quick and i crashed about 5am, that sucked. although when i WAS high i was fucked up and it was great. there were some cool ppl tho, great energy. all those tatted muscle men kinda scared me, the spirit guys rocked! was it worth the 150ish i spent? not really. but it was worth it in the sense that my friend totally worships me now for introducing her to the rave scene... plus watching her eyes roll back when i was giving her light show was awesome...lol apex was definately better. whens the next party |

I've been lucky i've never had a bad trip, i'm really careful about much i take, only go for what my body should be able to take and recover easily. A friend had her first one and she unknown to me had four shirts on, after acouple of hours she was sick for abit(way too hot, got her a bottle and let her have abit), that fixed her up and then i cleaned her up, she had a blast after that. |

I think its preaty lame that people that didnt go to the party are posting in this thread. If you didnt go you dont knowhow good the party was.
and besides, a lot of you should take a step back and listen to how materialistic you all sound. If money is more important to you than partying stfu. To me the night was priceless. No it wasnt nearly the best time Iv ever had at a rave, but it was definatly the most packed PNE party Iv ever been to (and that in itself was awesome). The people I met, and the good friends that I got to hang out with cannot have a dollar value placed on it. All this arguing about how much money the rave was woth is just a stupid arguement. If every rave in North America costed $100 to go to, but they were packed and a hell of a good time Id still attend, and Im sure a lot of people on FNK would as well. Sure freaknight was a probably a sick party, but this thread is about DOOMS NIGHT, and DOOMS NIGHT was a fucking killer party. Im sure freak night was too, but there obvioulsy a reason why people chose Dooms Night over freak night. Not all the people had the means, nor the desire to drive that far to go to a seattle party. GSG9 is totally right, why the hell do so many people just bitch about how bad parties are, blah blah blah yadda yadda bs. stfu and enjoy yo selves bitches! ^^^^
You have got to be fucking kidding me we are materialistic cause people are pissed that they had to pay 100 bucks for a sub par party ticket? Pull ya head outta ya ass and smell the world some people like to be recieve satisfaction when they dish out that kinda cash. Solid has always and will always be about the money simple as that thiere setups are fucking shit for what they charge. I suppose you just wont notice till ya stop and actually look around a couple lazers doesn't make a 100 dollar ticket. |

^^^^^ The party may have been overpriced, but they were just charging what people would pay. I dont expect the comapany to charge less if theres an overwhelming demand. supply vs Demand. It was a sold out show, so the tix clearly costed what they should have costed. Solids in it to make money, just like 98% of the companies out there. They may love what they do, but they arnt going to host massively expensive events just out of charity for ravers.
Im not saying that I wouldent have prefered a better rave. Twisted is the shit, and I hope that they get a big venue to throw massives at again... but untill then Im still going to go to Solid's parties. Dooms Night was a hella good time no matter how you cut it. Sure it was pricy, but honestly... how many people here, if they had the choice, would sell 6000 tix for $30 or 6000 tix for $90 ? Im sure most people would pick the latter. |

I wouldn't gouge my customers just because I know I can that is profiteering and correct me if I am wrong but it is frowned apon by the BBB and other respectable companies. Scaffolding aint really all that expensive and a few lazers just doesn't make a 100 dollar party for most people.

it guess it was worth it for the $60 tix I brought long time ago
if you got your ticket earlier before and wouldnt have to pay $100+ the main room was packed... so hard to walk through e-zombies the music in main room was pretty good since i like trance i met many new & friends whom i haven't seen in a while got some lightshows, some asian dude gave me a tripped out one a lot of short short teen girls but also a lot of hot older women (with boyfriend) |

If ya think it is as simple as supply and demand then you should really go back to highschool or go take a buisness etiquette seminar. Supply and Demand would be them selling out and selling tickets at the door for maybe 30 bucks more then day of price not double or tripling the price that is just extortionate.

little kids who have been partying for 6 months trading bracelets, giving light shows and random hugs to people that may or may not appreciate it, someone stole someone else's glowstick, broke it open and chucked it into the crowd, simply by walking up to the person, saying "Can I borrow this?" and just running off. A bunch of people bitched about the music, and even more people bitched about how parties were so much better at the Plaza of Nations (and btw, I remember those parties and they weren't worth $80 either). Commonly heard was "Were you at Apex?", "Are you on FNK?" (favourite answer: "Nah, meth"), "Are you high?", "Wow, you're a really good dancer", and my personal favourite: "Do you want a massage?", which invariably leads to someone eventually mentioning the erroneous made-up statistic that 90% of massages lead to sex. Anything I missed? |
