Oh shit, last time ed rush couldn't make it. I think it was just before 'the vault' was released and it was the first time i heard it played out. That place blew up, had a freakin awesome time. Definately looking forward to this show.

actually, the last time it was optical that couldn't make it... Ed Rush is the much better DJ anyway :)

what's with everyone always hating on venues???? ah fuck......i go for the show(gettin' shitfaced doesn't hurt either) but i always end up having a killer time.

sonar's gone. richards is gonna get played out. everything comes around full circle usually anyways! meh, atlantis doesn't bother me!

Although it probably has one of the best sound systems in the city, Atlantis staff is obnoxiously uptight and annoying about a lot of things like:

- mandatory coat check that costs money (other clubs do this too which is stupid - if you're going to make it mandatory, don't charge)
- no ins and outs, but nowhere to smoke
- ridiculously overpriced drinks (I think the last time i was there it was like $5.50 for a bottle of Canadian)

I understand they're uptight about security given the problems that they've had but most of it has to do with their friday and saturday thug-hop-a-thons. Since when do electronic shows or underground hiphop shows have an association with violence? (um... the met doesn't count).

haha! its funny 'cause i totally know exactly what you're talking about! the coat check thing pisses me off but i don't go there enough for that to bother me too much! i guess i was thinking more on a venue level.........not so much the stupid costs and staff! i love that its super open and sound is good........so fun to party there. drink prices are a bitch but i think i could let those things slide to go see a good show there once in a while! but the points you made are enough to make me not want to go there for any other reason but when to see a show!
