PlasticMotive in Victoria . . .
Hi all, I'm Jeff aka (dj)Plastic Motive. I just wanted to give a shout out to everyone on the board. I just moved here from Toronto with a couple friends. I'm planning to stay for the next few months and if we like it, we may stay!! =)
I've only been here a week, but so far I've been having an awesome time, even despite all the rain. Sure beats the three feet of snow I left behind. Anyway, I play all things breaks, new skool, old skool, dark, funky, booty breaks, old skool breakbeat hardcore even! I've been playing out for about 7 years now, and have thrown close to 100 events in and around the southern Ontario area. Some of my bigger gigs include Montreal, Buffalo, Niagara Falls and I played in Seattle this past August. I can't wait to start playing out here!! Well hey there Jeff. So.. I'm assuming by the title of this thread that you're living in Vic, and not Van- right? I live in Vic also.. I find it seriously lacking at times, but it all depends on the person. It can be great times though.

ya, hopefully, I can get some events going, cure some bordom . . . I'm still trying to learn who's who when it comes to the dj's and promoters out here. I'm particularly interested in the Breaks and DnB dj's, I like it hard and funky . . . so, who are some of your favorite locals? what styles can they play? where are they based out of?? anyone, feel free to list some dj's, it'd be appriciated greatly!! |

Hmm.. my fave locals? Well, I must say that I enjoy them all. I know, I'm horrible- but it's true. :)
As you prob already know Hush is the place to be on Wed nights. If I wasn't so far from town I'd be heading down tonight. Maybe next week. |

I was at Hush last night and saw some good dj's. Nice meeting u in person Angle, your friends are nice, we should all party again soon. I met Chris, dj Psychi, really liked his set. Sir Kutz was good too. |
