03/20 - Pendulum @ Atlantis! !!!
Holly shit, Paul Harding was nutter. My ears are in pleasurable pain but it was all worth it. I heard all three tunes on my list and then some in the goodie bag. Pendulum planted a little late something around noon thirty, but when he did look out.
I was on the edge with my buddy Molson so I cant name his first or any specific order in which, BUT however when he dropped Girl on Fire that was something something. Talk about your personal edits for the road trip. Everything started the same but finished unlike I have yet to hear. Come near ten last one I had spend the most of my cab fare and was forced to dart out to tag the bus at 142a. Between then Pendulum layed smack down Fasten Your Seatbelt (92 edit?), shit was nuts up on the rafters. As I ran out to grab my bus I was hauled over by Painkiller (YES!) then as I pushed myself even closer toward the door as Paul followed up Painkiller with Blood Sugar. Man was it hard to leave. Heard Voodoo People, Slam, Hold your Color, Terminal, Still Grey, Pack of Wolves.. shit I know there is more. Maybe im wrong.. There is so much I heard, all fucken glorious. Pacific, PsiDream, Auto, Dabbles and Myster all did a great job sortin the place out before hand! Upiddy pounds to both Auto and related, you all did a steller job. I aint not seen Atlantis like that.. well, ever. Great time, great people, someone post a tracklist because that shit was hot. Cross our fingers I make it to work on time.. nah fuck it, my job sucks anyway. |

a minute to write what?! a line? go education.
pendulum was fucking awesome.. super kudos to that dj, i dont know his name. Also huge props to Auto for bringing out that amazing talent. One of the best shows i've ever witnessed. Move over yoji.... probably not, it would've been rad to hear some turntablism. But i must say, i've never heard backspinning so damn good in my years of being in these scenes. Plus the track selection was phenominal. Some old school, tons of pendulum mixed in so beautifully. Great sound coming out no unbareable highs. That man knows its all about the bass and fuck the high's. Amazing mixing and use of sampling.. I'd deffinitely drop an assload of cash iff auto could bring out Evol Intent. unfortunetly the fight outside was a shitty thing. If only i knew it was you.. I would've helped out. |

Welcome To The Pendulum Experience!!!!
Fuck that intro was sick!!!, Even tho that El Hornet doesn't produce really, He IS definately the best DJ in the group, Fuck those guys are killer with the CDJ's, El Hornet musta had some Hot Cues saved on the CDJ's memory card to pull off those cuts...What a proper turn out!!, Now that is how DnB shows out in Vancouver should be like, Fucking Bumping!!, Such a high energy set, you couldn't ask for more, Big ups to the Automatic crew for bringing in AAA talent and getting it done proper, Boh? 4:07am....pppzzzzzzz edit. Got all 3 Pendulum members sigs on the Slam and Tarantula Pic Discs now... Last edited by Toxxin Ephekt; Mar 21, 06 at 06:43 AM. |

Crazy, crazy, crazy show..... unbelievable.
Best part of the night though, and I'll keep it anonymous for the sake of NOT embarassing the person but WOW. Let me see.... I'll sum it up like so: Ticket to Pendulum show: $18 Beer: $30 Late night food run: $6 Seeing someone most of us know getting her carpet munched in the back of the club: PRICELESS WOW... that is all. |

jesus.
now, from all handful of live pendulum sets I have from over the past 6 months, nothing touched this one as far as how hard the set was. Barely any ambient dnb, it was all up in my fucking face. My buddy's birthday, hope he had a good time. His first night out to something like that, and he had a fuckin blast. It's 9:01. I'm still pretty deaf, I have class at 10am and then work at 1pm. Time to deal with today.... ps: To DJ Pegasus, sorry man for mixing you up with 'tiedye' here on fnk, you both have dreads and i had a few drinks in me.....i can't believe i actually walked up to someone and asked if they were on fnk hahaha. |

OMFG!!!
That is all I can say. It's 10:30 in the morning and my ears are still hurting... still ringing with the sweet sweet sound of Pendulum. The energy in that building was intense and for a Monday night, there were definitely alot of dedicated people. That is the way that DnB should be done. Pendulum just totally slammed it. Some old songs mixed in. When he started mixing in Tarantula and Fasten your seatbelt the crowd just went wild... Good friends (thanks Jeff, Cory and Allison *hope you liked your Manhattan last night*), good music, good starters as well. All in all a good experience at Atlantis. Oh and PPcock... haha don't worry sweetie ;) |
