PH1 & Tigerstone present
The next edition of the VIVIDIntimate House series... Part 4 of the series is on its way, after already featuring Kaskade, Colette, Steve Smooth. Saturday May 27 DJ RAP special house set Improper Talent | www.DJRAP.com DJ RAP has been the undisputed queen of the turntables and the number one female DJ in the world, simultaneously a label owner, producer, and recording artist. She has been a prime mover, the prime female mover in fact, on the jungle and drum & bass scene. Six years ago her first album, LEARNING CURVE, was released on Sony in the UK and on Columbia Records in the USA and ended up selling hundreds of thousands of copies worldwide. She has many seminal dance classics to her credit, with several mix compilation CDs, and upwards of 20 releases on her own drum & bass imprint, PROPER TALENT. And now she is going to leave her mark on the house music scene. In 2004 DJ Rap founded a brand-new label, IMPROPER TALENT, to provide an outlet for her growing interest in house music. She also celebrated the first ten years of her career and her foray into house music by compiling and mixing a CD of classic house tracks to form part of the double-CD compilation "CHEMISTRY" which was released by ARMANI EXCHANGE in October 2004. In her previous visits to Vancouver, she has rocked crowds at Sonar, Plaza of Nations, and Ginger62 www.djRap.com $20 Limited Advance tickets Available Apr 20 at http://www.CLUBZONE.COM/ph1 & Boomtown, Zulu, BeatStreet, Obstruction (Robson) Toyko Lounge 1050 Alberni st (3rd floor) 10pm-3am, 19+ www.PH1.ca www.Tigerstone.tv Next Event: KEVIN SAUNDERSON Godfather of funky techno and classic house Sat June 10th |

Yup, should be a fun one She is super tight friends with Erick Morillo and playing some massive massive gigs right now pushing that sound. So thought might be nice to bring her into our small room for a tight little gig ;) |

I asked her about the big switch over a year ago. DnB is still her #1 love, but there is no way she would ever get the chance to play the big crowds unless she played somthing like house. Even then after so many years its nice to try somthing different. I'm just surprised with the type of house she plays. After seeing her before and Eric Marillo they do both play alot of top 40 type of house with alot of funk. I would of at least expected some sick ass tribal house from her if anything. Anyways Ill always <3 Charissa. Shes one amazing women over all. PS: she did drop a dnb track at the end of her set last year at sonar. Crowd went insane! case in point...
I wouldn't take what Average has to say to seriously.
If you track back to any of Arpy/Ph-1's posts you can tell he has something up his ass about the events, from his cheeky or sarcastic remarks for almost every show that is getting thrown, and posted in Fnk. I guess if he has nothing to do with the show, it automatically sucks right? Good attitude. I'm not a huge Rap fan, but I like tokyo lounge, and I like that alot of girls want to go see her, I also like drinking my face off. So to me, that equation works.
