K, What would you like to know about Alex Paris? Is this about the promoter not giving you info on Alex or is this just about Alex? He has been in and out of the industry for almost 22yrs. He started playing clubs when he was 16.
Here's The List: Studio 69, Exit To Eden, Plush, Red Square, Vase, Ivory, The Orange Room (Guvernment), Fluid, Alto Basso, Bauhaus, 318 Richmond St.(before it was the joker it was an afterhours) The Drake Hotel, PUR, Film Lounge. The Living Room, Kokkino, Key Bar in NY, Beach House in Miami during wmc 2002. Senso, Camel and Soda Nightclubs in Athens Greece. He worked there for 6 months in 2003. After he returned he had taken a leave from the scene to take care of personal family matters. In late 2004 he felt that it was time to get into the scene once again, but this time as a radio personallity. Back in 2000 he was spinning for a legend in the scene, Deadly Hedley Jones for, 102.1fm and Energy 108, 89.5 CIUT. Now he hosts a show on club 246 radio 100.7fm in Toronto and 97.9fm in Ottawa. You can tune in every Friday night from 2am till 4am eastern time. He does not like or want to hold a weekly residance anywhere at the moment, he likes these one off things at the moment. He say it leaves him more time to work in the studio that he has built in Greece and is being run by his partner till Alex returns in late October till February. Alex like's all music aslong as it's good. All most all people who have had the time and energy to get to know him say that he is very open minded and full of energy. He likes to spin deep progressive house but is very versatile and his taste for music is impeccable. here are some ways you can hear Alex or contact him. www.club246radio.com, www.dropdaneedle.com, www.beatbeyond.com, www.moodyclub.org, dabba-dubba.gr being launched in February 2007. thanks for even more info, anna, appreciate you telling us about alex. im sure he's a talented dj with a unique sound and that he'll do well on sunday
im not here to stir up shit or be a prick but really, we shouldn't be asking who the artist is, we should be told, all that info should be in the first post of this thread. you can't expect everyone to know about your artist. even when armin comes to town, the promoters add a little blurb about him, what he's been up to recently, things like that. Your Welcome
You are right he should have been introduced in a professional manner, But because of everything going on these days he has not sent any info to the promoter. So don't blame vancity. In anyway make sure you go up and receive your t-shirt on sunday it will be there for you. Peace and have a goodtime this weekend. Thank Anna

^ Party time!... Well, we'll give it a go! Come on out for your weekend extension and indulge in the sounds of some long overdue uplifting progressive trance and progressive house for Vancouver!!
Come say hi and I'll have some copies of my debut mix for ya! I'm flattered that people come up to me still and mention they've still got it on rotation since it's debut! And I'll have my new mix out shortly! More on the electro-ey side of progressive trance & house. Look OUT! :Star: |

can i please have two hours of my life back that i spent going to a club and listening to hard trance at 10pm being spun by a DJ who was not even on the bill? (i will refrain from mentiong the name of the opener)
im not here to hate or bash, but this was just ridiculously dumb. i mean why in god's name would you ever let anyone open for a trance/prog DJ with hard trance anthems? i felt really bad for christine, rich and alex. however christine and rich were going to follow up the opening act, i dont know, and i didnt stick around to find out. they were supposed to have the opening fame, rich was supposed to be the special guest and instead they got shafted to an hour-long tag set while the opening DJ got to pound uber fast and hard tunes for, what, 2 hours ? alex paris seemed like a nice guy and i hope to god things got better by the time he went up to play. this is just sad. its mishaps like this that give trance a bad name in vancouver |

Not the best organised gig I've ever played at that's for sure...
Technical problems were to blame, the 'unmentioned' DJ only actually played for about 45 minutes - you were listening to a pre-recorded mix before that, and Alex, Christine and I did manage to get things bumping eventually for the people that were there, would have been nice to play for more than 30 minutes tho...
