APEX 2006 Review
First Review!
it's 11pm, and I'm home already. I decided to head up there just in the afternoon to hang out with all my good friends that were part of the show. I didn't really feel like spending the whole night with a bunch of strangers so I left when the doors opened at 9pm. I'm happy I'm nice and showered and took out my contacts. The party sounded awesome. All the stages looked great. I hope everyone raves it up tonight. Be Safe! |

Just got home..... for what ever reason it seemed to me that the night went fast... and I was sober...
First and foremost I like to mention based on the improvements so that one doesn't wait in line for a long time........ Need I say more.... same like last year.... anyways.... Hands down for the stage that had there area packed the whole night go's to Vision 1..... Stellar sets by all the DJ's on that stage. It pretty much over powered the refresh stage and soundfunktion stage.... classic... was camped out right on the side of the Vision 1 stage so even though i had a to take a little rest them beats were still there..... Mnemonic I'd say has also impressed me as well. There mackie and jbl setup that was in all 4 corners of there area was ace. Nice clean sound....killer beats.... love them seattle ppl. a few disappointments however.... one mostly being Swift Beats..... same setup as last year but no big sound.... wtf is up with that... LCU again had some weird technical difficulties again this year... Refresh...... I was also expecting alot more sound then was brought to the table this year. Its to bad cause the dj line up was sweet A few rather sketchy things being seen at apex this year..... 1 being the guy wearing blue underwear with platform boots.... and glitter around his face...... ya.... uhhh right.. Or how about the girl that took her shirt off during miss marz's set..... talk about sexy electro.... jeez... A few shoutouts: ProjectOne:Yo Firewire: Thank god I brought that tent this year to store our stuff eh??? Leebrat: OMFG What did you do to your hair!!!! Babyphat: I hope you made it home ok, you looked like a wreck. Pale white and sketched.... kinda scared me ... :( Play it Hard: Quit pushing your luck by calling me joeybear... Pennywise: HIVE FIVE!!! Tiedeye: So many stages.... to many to choose from... to everyone else I met and may have forgotten here... you guys all rule... peace.... anyways time to get some shut eye! |

Umm.. working the door from 7:30 - 6pm was great! hahahaha
Got to see pretty much everybody while I was there hehe.. so it was good to say hey to everyone. I felt the line this year was SOOOO much better then last year... HUGE IMPROVEMENT. PROPS. Christine - WE ROX! lol Cody - FUCKER ... u fuck off while I work lol... Samantha - whoever the hell you are from the first aid area hahaha .. thanks for not jacking my phone! lol Kat - I knew it hahaha I knew it!!! oh well you are still loved. Avana - Much more enjoyable this year lol... um... .... i guess we're doing all this again 2 weeks from now lol... edit: some memorable moments from the door: I'll do anything for a wristband *pushes chest up to me* anything..... LOL had that happen 3 times hahaha must have been the giant sword i have.... Everytime I whipped that thing out.. EVERYONE was like WOAH! hahahaha random drunk guy not allowed to enter the party and falls into a bush full of thorns... lol... OUCH.... yes.... that's about it.. ...sleepy sleepy time. Hehe... nice reviews so far.
Alla - are you going to post the pic of the blue underwear and platform boots guy? That dude was the highlight of the night. :p (NOT...) Apex still hasn't ended for me because the electro and hard trance sounds of Vision 1 stage are still pounding my head... I'll post a review once I regain my sanity. |

Glad i managed to sleep for like 6 hours in our tent lol Nice to see some people that i hadn't seen in a few years and even some old girl friends from highschool. Wow waht a night..by far the best time I had at Apex yet..ran into alot of people I couldnt find all night when I was playing my set at 7-8..Thanks to all of you that stayed arround and rocked it to my set..Hopefully I can do it again..Thanks again Rob and the Vision 1 crew for the chance to play.
