///Stage One
House // Hard & Uplifting Vocal Trance DOGZILLA
aka SIMON PATTERSON
Maelstrom Recordings - United Kingdom
Simon Patterson began playing out in 2000 and rapidly made a name for himself in clubland. He is resident for Serious @ The Cross in London and co-hosts a bi-weekly radio show on Ministry Of Sound Radio, all while heading up A&R for artists like Seb Fontaine and Judge Jules.
Together with studio partner Richard Kayvan, Simon is responsible for some of the most massive tracks and remixes in electronica in recent years. Their debut single was featured in the cult Britflick 'The Football Factory' and was followed by the massive 'Your Eyes’ which garnered support from household names such as Judge Jules, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, and John ‘00’ Fleming.

The trademark Dogzilla sound is birthed from a fusion of dark rock music combined with dance floor sensibility and dynamics. Richie’s grounding in rock production and experimental electronica fused with Simon’s dance music background and knowledge has created this hybrid monster. Dogzilla’s follow-up, 'Without You’, is equally monstrous and has the trademark Dogzilla sound which combines the dark side with serious melody and dynamism.

Simon’s first solo project ‘F16’ also has taken flight and has seen release on 2Play Records this year to great acclaim with support from some of the biggest names in Trance.

DJ GT vs
PROJECT C
Digitally Imported Radio - www.di.fm
GenerationTrance.com, Los Angeles
We all know that to accomplish goals or dreams in life, we must work hard; and nothing says working hard like teaching yourself to mix music. But DJ GT never saw mixing as work; just simply as his passion. With musical influences from artists, such as Modern Talking, CC Catch, Savage, Sandra, Erasure, and many others in the "New Wave" genre, it was not until after his first introduction to electronic music, at a warehouse party in 1998, that GT found his love and, now, addiction for trance music.
In his exploration of various genre-specific music such as dance, house, and techno, nothing gave him more satisfaction and fulfillment than trance. And, even after immersing himself in the best trance music around, something always seemed to be missing for GT. He knew that good music is the kind that makes you feel something inside, and for GT, feeling that extra something meant vocals. GT soon began his signature "Voices Of " series, dedicated to each season of the year, which consisted of some of the best vocal trance music available.
Project C has had a deep love for music all his life, especially while growing up in the 1980s. From playing the piano for five years as a child to making mix tapes with no transitions, his tastes were broad and varied, but despite the variety, early in his life, he discovered his love for electronic music. Because of the harmonic synths that were used by artists like Depeche Mode, Erasure, and Pet Shop Boys, a path was laid that Project C liked and knew he wanted to follow.
Playing local clubs in his hometown of Los Angeles, California, teaming up with DJ GT in September 2004 at a popular club “The Stock Exchange”, and having his mixes played on Digitally Imported radio, one of the largest Internet radio stations dedicated to many popular genres of electronic music, things simply began falling into place.
While Project C's heart lies with trance, recently, his tastes have broadened in regards to his mixes. Experimenting with alternative progressive and progressive/house sounds and coupling them with an open mind and willingness to try new things is the reason Project C's mixes are always fresh, original, and something to look forward to.
You can check his website to download DJ GT & Project C’s mixes, or have a listen to their radio station "Generation Trance Radio", both located at www.generationtrance.com

AMANDA RUDE
www.FlyDJs.biz, United States of Bassline
Upon the first time hearing the warping basslines & uplifting vocals of Speed Garage, Amanda knew she was destined to hit the decks. From then on, she set out to show people how amazing Garage is.

She took inspiration from the production work and the successes of female DJ/Producer Big Ang who has been credited for bringing back the Speed Garage sound & vibe in the UK.

Today, Amanda's record collection is unique and envied by many. It is filled with quality Speed Garage cuts (new, old, and rare), dark and bwarpy "4 by 4" garage, melodic UK garage, and that bouncy & raw 2Step style. Her ability to mix new stompers with rare gems and classics sets her apart from typical Speed Garage DJs who are often accused of sounding boring and uninventive by banging out all the old hits over and over.
This is not the case with the Rude One as she has a style of her own and she tears up the dance floor with every performance. Amanda is proud to go out and show everyone what the world of Garage is all about by slapping bass-in-your-face with crazy antics. It is our pleasure to welcome Amanda as she makes the transition from Kelowna home-town favorite to local up-and-comer as she makes her Vancouver party debut. For, although she is petite in stature, this DJ should not to be underestimated!

You'll probably find me in the third room all night.

BTW, anyone know what the capacity of the Palace is? Seems by the ticket numbers that it's smaller than Riverside. But it ain't Maritime, which is always a good thing.

I think it might be a bit smaller then Riverside,

I'm not sure how many ravers they will cram into that hall.
