Summer Breaks.....rant
the music was great. loved every minute of it.
wtf....gross portapotties and not enough of em! WHAT the fuck was up with that god awuful security?!?! i could've killed them. they took a cooler full of water, fruit, and general sustenance and dumped it refusing to let us have any?! hello, you fucking dicks? what about people who don't have money for your 4 dollar water? or your 3 dollar bananna. did i shove heroin or acid in my fully sealed beverages or fruits? FUCK YOU! maybe be a little more thurogh next time because you missed the fucking bottle of rhum in my bag. but really, that's enough swearing out of me. i was just really angry that that much was wasted when it was clearly marked and sealed and harmless. could save lives in the event one of my buddies had an overdose. but nono, please, you may ONLY buy our over priced shit, from our riddiculously over priced party. and 60 bucks with-out the headliners?? i don't think i even have to say anything about that. that was BULL. |

i really just wanted to know if anybody honestly experienced the same things i did last night. like i said the music was great. i really enjoyed it. but that was all. i was extremely unimpressed with the over-all running of things. for that much money i don't see why there were these types of problems.

You're right, and you'd think they'd have learned by now.. but both sides have a legit arguement. The promoter has to make money, and they have to make sure no illegal substances are brought in (acid in juiceboxes, etc). But they jack up the prices and not a lot of people can afford that.. especially if they weren't planning on going and decided last minute.. $60 for a ticket doesn't leave much room for enough $4 water bottles to last you the night. And if you're hungry.. $7 for a single hamburger is brutal, since that's almost a full meal anywhere else. Point is, both sides have a point, but there's never going to be a solid solution that both sides can agree on. edit: for allison. |

actually, silverwaters worked with individual stages to book and pay for headliners, meaning silverwaters had to pay for a portion of the booking fees, which they refused to do in a few occasions (the story of speed reid and lange)
portapotties could have been a bit better if there were more of them. reason for no line up was because of how disgusting they were. silverwaters and individual stages failed to let people know that headliners will be a no show and still have the nerve to charge people $60 at the door. this was all known on wednesday already, would have been nice to let the people know. i had a granola bar taken away at the door, no biggie, it was 50/50 chance of keeping it. they let me in with a couple to apex. concessions were ok'ish. prices as at all the usual raves, more food too. the interesting thing was that an energy drink was $5 at the main concessions but $4 at the shark table next to it the only thing that made up for all the little inconveniences plus the missing headliners, was the music. the sound quality was also excellent, which made the great tunes sound even better |

when it comes down to bringing outside food and such inside a venue.... its a no brainer that it will get thrown out. Has always been like that for years. Kinda chuckled watching these kids bring 12 pack flats of water waiting in line... newb's.... btw thanks for the water who ever had that..
