I've only done night audit twice at my hotel..and both times I wanted to kill myself. Definately got through the night with books, magazines, news paper. Because in all honestly..to run the audit and do most tasks associated with it..3-4 hours MAX! Now that we've switched to Opera..it takes 10 minutes.

Night audit is good for a while..but it takes a toll on you.

Audit would be good experience for you dalyn.

Personally I refuse to promote anyone who isn't experienced with turning the day over.

My favorite parts of working audits include:

- chatting witht the crazy newspaper guy
- working by myself
- showing drunks how to use their key cards
- saying good night to people entering the lobby at 7:00am
- and getting drunk and going to the beach to barbq a steak at 8:00am when my shift was done.

wow bret u made my day(night)......

its not that bad, i just found out two of our night auditors are planning on leaving, so i might do this for a year....as long as i get the days off that i want, its not a problem by me.

i always say "good evening" to ppl in the morning.

i know i like drinking in the morning till i fall asleep.....its fun....lol

its deff. a learning process of how everything i do during the day affects what the ppl at night have to deal with.

dalyn. which hotel do you work at?
i did gravey roomservice @ the wall centre for like 2 years.
pretty decent job tho...just chill in guest rooms all night and eat ice cream and drink.
good times, but soul draining.
