I guess my parents figure that since ive moved out on my own (3 years now) that i dont wish to take part in family dinners, just talked to my cousin and apparently they had all the family for dinner last night.

yeah i was just about to ask the same thing....i didn't get Turkey either if that's what you are upset about.

edit - my mum is away and has been for almost 10 days now with no phone call so i felt like crap too. Plus my dads side doesn't even bother inviting us anymore.

I know the feeling :(

I actually got thanksgiving this year, not with my family but my bfs yesterday.
And today i work..

You cant except your family to be the ones always calling. Each person must do there own part. if your on your own now, then maybe its time you start thanksgiving at your place and invite them.

My Mom is in Nova Scotia, my brother is actually in the city but opts to be a workaholic instead of doing anything family related and my boyfriend is in Saskatchewan.

I'd have had nothing if it wasn't for Avana's amazingly yummy dinner on saturday night. It's been awesome to spend a lot of time with friends this long weekend, but I still wish my family was here a lot.

Watching the football game with my pops and my brothers at 2. Not too big on Turkey , but I've got a couple amazing cuts of AAA alberta beef that have a date with the grill. Lemon meringue pie.... yesssss.

To top it all off I start getting paid at 5. Nothing beats sitting at home napping , getting fat and drinking beer , while getting paid.
