Right there... for the price of their extreme, you can get the shaw for 20 bones cheaper and lose 1mb down (which you'll never notice on shaw or on telus)
60gb for usage.. wow, that sucks for extreme for telus.

i didnt go into business cause i just cant find the fucking speeds there.

So why the free computers, free tampons for a year or whatever else they're giving out?

cause deep down.. they're hurting for customers, more so old grannies that dont know a toonie from a pile of shit.

I know as far as mobility goes , there's some kinda strange ass integration between telus an bell...I might not have been totally correct with my previous statment...
But from what the dickhead told me when I got my phone , is that pretty much telus and bell are integrated and share bandwidth (here anyways..)

I've heard this story a billion times over.

Any company that's wanting to give me free shit to switch to their service is screaming "desparation". That's exactly why I don't have a TD bank account.

Furthermore, any time I've EVER heard of someone with a true-blue customer service horror story from their phone company, it's almost always about telus. The whole I-don't-get-any-decent-service-until-I-threaten-to-quit game, the I-can't-get-them-to-do-more-than-one-thing-to-my-account-per-call game, the They-told-me-no-hidden-charges-and-then-my-first-bill-was-two-hunny game....

I have never heard of an instance in which Shaw has taken longer than 2 days to respond to your house with a technician. Telus? Oh, fuck no. You've got to wade through a billion L1s before getting to anybody who actually is paying attention to your account and knows what you're trying to do, and even then getting someone physically to your house is like pulling teeth.

Telus is about the gimmicks, not the service. I've tried twice to have some type of account with them and twice I've been fucked over. I'm never dealing with them again.

WHY doesn't one of these Canadian companies come out with one of the bundles like Verizon does in the states..

Internet + Cable + Home phone + cell phone.

You wouldn't even need a marketing plan, people would sign up for that in a second because everyone is lazy and doesn't want to pay two (or three) bills.. (like me)

TELUS does offer ADSL in the east -- both on-net and off-net.

Verizon doesn't offer Cable, they have a partnership with another company. It would be like if Telus starting offering Shaw subscriptions, and there just plain aren't enough companies in Canada to get away with that. It would violate all kinds of monopoly laws out here.

We've just got Telus, Bell, Shaw and Rogers for major high-speed providers in Canada. Shaw and Rogers don't ever work in the same areas, Telus and Bell don't ever work in the same areas. Combine any two and you're looking at a monopoly in some areas.

That being said, as someone who deals with Verizon and Qwest customer support on a daily basis, you don't really want to deal with either of them.

Besides, is it really such a hassle to pay an extra bill? I do all my bill payments over the phone at the same time, doesn't take more than 5 minutes to handle 3 bills.
