...Welcome to the commercialization of sub-culture! Why? because if 1 out of 100 people think something is cool when no-one even knows about it, then certainly 50 out of 100 people will think its cool when we plaster the walls with it! And we can imitate the cool stuff, and sell it!... (hard to believe I actually lean towards capitalism with such statements...sigh...aren't we all paradoxes?)... And...if a candy kid has never been to a rave, does that mean he's really not a candy kid? Kinda like the tree falling in forest thing...

hell ya stabby!!!....but like seriously...there r those stupid little kids that go to skool wearing kandy...and dressin raveish style (if there really is a "raveish style" (my opinion any syle can be a raveish style) but like w/ phat pants, and the hair and clothes all funky....and these kids dont rave....its like...wth...and the kids that do basically dress normal.....i really dont understand y people have to be such posers...ya noe i got a few kandy kids as friends...but not the fucking posers!!!

theres a group of grade 10s at my school who wear at least 30 pieces of candy on each arm...and they actulaly have pretty funky clothes and stuff. i dont think they even know wut a rave is... and sad to say i think their fave music is hiphop and alternative.

As amusing as it is to overhear a buncha girls I used to go to school with talk about how high they were at the last plaza party dancing it up and getting kandy from this guy they met there.... It's their own choice. To each their own or some crap. They can't help it if they are "naive" to the whole "scene", hell, what difference does it make if you are in/out of the scene. It's just another subculture to dump your shit on. There are plenty of people that "rave" and know shit all about the "scene"
BEBU: Who's to say that ravers can't love hip hop and alternative? I go to raves and I still love alternative more than I'll love electronica, does that make me a insufficient raver, or a poser? Probably. It's okay to cross subcultures people, that's what makes us human, we are able to adapt and cross over to something else if we please. OMG!! LOOK AT ME RAVE!! btw, everyone is a poser to some extent. Originality died out a long time ago. "EVERYONE IN POSER" <-- It can be the next GAP commercial.

i agree that originality did die along time ago...and its shitty...i dont see y people cant be themselves...how they see themselves...and they shouldnt care what other people think....if everyone was more different then no one would have a problem w/ what kinda of shoes u wear, the brand of clothes, or how much it cost....i have this one friend who is so crazy and original...and shes awesome...i love being w/ her cuz everythinsg fun she wears what she wants, says what she wants, and people that look at her weird...she laughs.....she has like pajama pants w/ fun fur in them...and tonza crazy candy....and shes awesome.....someone i really look up to...because she just doesnt give a fuck....thats how everyone should be.....see, i noe im not that original...i blend in sometimes...but i am still original in how i act and present myself.....
ORIGINALITY ROCKS!! BBFF...music is music...a way of presenting how we feel in our minds....any kind kicks ass....
