Then I won't. I do believe he has experienced some form of racism, living in an area where there aren't that many blacks. He told me, actually, when we first started dating, "I hope you won't mind the the jerks that will criticize our relationship I am black and you are white." He said that to me. I replied with a hug and a make-out session, then reassurance that I will not mind, will never mind, because I love him, and that's what counts.


A few years back, I was baby-sitting for my cousin, and when he had fallen asleep, out of boredom, I picked up a book from his bookcase. It was a touching story about Racism, and what a young african girl thought about it when she moved to America in a predominantly white town. It was one of the most touching books that I've ever read. I do believe, because of that book, my young cousin will grow up to respect other races. *sigh*

No. I am no longer friends with her because she defended her friend. Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I don't think she did defend them, she just wasn't nearly as upset about it as she was.

Look, when people get like that you can throw a huge tantrum about it, or you can shrug it off and realize that their punishment is the stupid close-minded life they lead, being a racist retard.

The older I get, the more I opt for the latter.

Dumb people are their own worst enemies, and not worth getting stressed over.

Her friend didn't exactly step up with any encouragement, but on the other hand I give her credit for not mailing in token sympathy either.

Okay, so let's breakdown what she said. She never said that she didn't care about you or your feelings about the situation - she said that she didn't care about your feelings about the "racist friend". It doesn't mean your friend is an avid supporter of the KKK. Good friends don't try and force their friends into doing things they don't want, or feeling for something that really isn't their concern.
