akira (soooo much better than the movie)

spawn (only the first eight or so)

my college had a massive comic library that included a ton of bound books starting from comic #1 to the present. It's where I got my first taste of Sandman, Watchmen, Grendel, V for Vendetta and all the other seminal indie-comics that sparked the whole anti-hero craze that was big in the 90s.
