My job is trying to kill me.
Has anyone else had this experience? You've given your two weeks' notice, you're counting down the days on the calendar, and all of a sudden what was a fairly good or normal job becomes an exercise in insanity??
OK, so when I quit my job in West Van to go travelling, I shouldn't have been surprised. That one had been a nightmare for a while, so when I was throwing my field book into some bushes and screaming about how I had "JUST THREE DAYS OF THIS BULLSHIT" left, to the bemusement of some nearby construction workers, not a huge shocker.
But the next job I had was great.. little survey company in Australia.. the vast majority of my 3 months there was "cruisy", as they say down under. My walk to work was a leisurely stroll along Sydney's harbor, and I worked at a relaxed pace with some fun people.. didn't even start until 8:30 in the am!
Then just before I leave, I end 30 floors up a downtown Sydney highrise, on site BEFORE 6am, whacking in nails for a crazy Croatian and wondering where it all went wrong.
Now this job, the best of my life, is ending terribly as well.
Has this been a theme for anyone else??
I swear if they try and make me do anything stressful tomorrow I'm pretending to be sick and going home. What are they going to do, fire me??
