Yeah...
I dunno, everytime I've almost got a ticket, I've always been nothing but completely polite if I was in the wrong...and amazingly enough, it has worked out to my advantage. Sometimes I actually never ended up getting the tickets, or a few months later got notices saying that they were voided for one reason or another. You've got a lot of rights, but with those come responsibilities..yada yada...grow up. |

U're joking, right? did you think you would get out of it by sucking up to the cop or something?? that he would all of a sudden think to himself, "aww this kid means well, and he seems legitamately disappointed in myself for speeding. I should let him off the hook!" what you two are implying, is that she should pay her ticket, which was given to her based on no proof that she was playing any loud music at the time of offence? maybe you also feel that eveyrtime you get pulled over, the cop should maybe give you a ticket for all the times you COULD have been speeding, but weren't caught? also for everytime you MAY drove slightly over the stop line? Damn...one of those traffic stops could cost you ten's of thousand's of dollars! and to answer your question of why the gov't should work to get this money out of her? We're taxed up the ass already, buddy. If they want it, they shoudl work for it, not show up, give someone a fucking piece of paper and expect them to just give in and pay it. that has to do with the fact that theres no proof she was even playing loud music at the time that she was ticketed. You notice how theres a trial for things even if someone admits guilt?? How do we know she wasn't brainwashed to say that she was playing music when she wasn't? Sure, common sense says she wasn't, but proof is still nessecary. From what i can tell, you're implying that canada should run off nepolianic law. |

glad you finally figured it out. yes, if you treat the cop with respect, and not come across as some self righteous wigger (which you probably do), chances are that they'll be lenient on you. in january, i was caught doing 130 in a 90 zone along the upper levels highway. i acknowledged my error, and was quite friendly. i even joked around with him a fair bit about my car's amazing ability to go even that fast. he could have given me the $300-ish ticket, but he gave me only the $173 instead. and then... oh wait! he didn't sign the ticket, meaning it was all void and meaningless.. now if i had been an asshole, you'd better believe that he would have signed the ticket, and i'd be paying the full price. *you* would pay the full price because of your attitude. why the hell would she throw a party with loud music in an apartment anyways? what kind of asshole does that? Quote:
what the hell are you talking about? she *was* caught. Quote:

Assuming there was only 1 neighbor to deal with, yes.
However, since theres several neighbors, im sure more hten 1 person would get mad if thye did this everynight, in which case they would have several people complaining, which would justify a ticket. But because one guy has a stick up his ass and cant stand loud music for a whole 10 seconds until they turn the stereo back down, doesn't mean she should have a ticket now. If anything, a complaint to the building management should be made, not to the police. |

Which I am sure there has to be, see's how she threw a party there... Just because only one person called the police dosen't mean nobody else is pissed off. Quote:
Lets take a look at the scenario. Last night you were trying to rest and unwind with your family after a hard day at work, suddenly these dumb fucks next door threw a party. You called the cops. They came, broke up the party. Now it's saturday lets say, your at home with your family when suddenly, those fucks start again! ARGH THOSE MORONS!. You reach for the phone, call up the cops cause they are doing it AGAIN! Quote:
I am not sure what point your trying to make now, you've back peddled on everything you said before.... Last edited by NinjaBoy; Mar 18, 03 at 02:31 PM. |

2. just because you're getting evicted doesn't give you the right to be a jerk. the landlord evicted you, not everyone around you. if you don't like it, take it up with him. 3. you have a young child there and you're going to be partying for the next two weeks? what the fuck is wrong with you? |
