i hear so many of you insulting ravers and knocking on raves when you're ALL ravers... its SO funny hearing someone knock on how raves and ravers are so dirty when i see them at the next plaza party. and just because you're wearing nicer threads than just phatpants and a visor doesnt mean you're any cleaner than they are... you're just as fucking sweaty and disgusting as they are by the end of the night. what, you think your fart dont stink?

and the best part about it is that most of you who are saying these things used to be (or still are) e-tarded, candied out punks just like the people you're hating on. trust me i know. i may not have been in the scene as long as some of you (3 years for me), but ive seen a lot of you change from "huggles and kisses!" to "fucking raver"

It's been years since I was at the Plaza but I thought it was a clean well ventilated venue? I thought dirty ravers came from small underground parties held in gheto little sweat boxes.

How many raves do I have to go to before I can be a raver? Also If I haven't gone in a long time when is my raver street cred revoked?

no but seriously......the reason we all hate on ravers (well me ne wais) is cuz all mah friends that arn't ravers (witch are most of them) hate on me for being a raver and make funna' me .....
this week-end coasting the line-up at fusion i noticed that shitt ravers ARE dorks....seriously.
and i guess i am too but i and moast of us do have other un-raver friends and social groups.
imma get flamed at for this post ....but im serious, ravers are kids that dont fit in ne where else, or with ne other social groups so they turn to raves....and druggs.

i know it's wrong to hate on the whole lot of em... but fuck, i've been around ravers for many, many years and i've never met, in general, a more foolish, insecure, uneducated bunch of kids. I do not, nor have i ever, considered myself a raver - i've been to many as a DJ but i've never, in my memory, gone to what you'd call a 'rave' strictly to have fun. I used to go to some underground parties back in the VERY early 90s, but since the phenomena of raves has taken off in N America, i've been mostly revolted by what i've seen. What initially turned me on to the electronic music party scene was the music, and the b0nd that the music (& drugs, to some extent) seemed to create between the people dancing. I think nowadays it's become more about the drugs, and the music at raves has become the simplest, stupidest mass-produced garbage, so as to appeal to the lowest common denominator of a multi-thousand person audience. As someone who loves & lives music to the fullest extent, i find this really sad and disgusting.

why am i on a 'rave msg board' then? mainly because i'm a promoter, and there's a lot of club kids on here too. And also because i like to stay in touch with the scene that changed my life many years ago. But i gotta say, for the most part i don't like what i see. I don't think kids who wear candy & phatpants, in this day and age, are making any statement other than that they are sheep with bad fashion sense.

yea' like this weekend on sun i was at a houseparty with tablez and i brought summa' mah hommies that dont party, they were down but they were kinda not shure whut to expect.
and just as soon as they were accepting the group i walked onna them to the bathroom opend the door and it was hot boxed with jib smoke , i was soooo imbarassed and we left after they (and i )
made a huge scene .....hUGE!!
and becuzza the scene i made "someone" wouldn't say goodbye to me.......outch!
its hella imbarassing, but i guess i used to be like that to , i just got smarter....thank god!

I hear that, if I brought a bunch of friends some where and walked in on a big crack fest I'd be imbarrased and leave. I guess more than anything if people are having a good time and I am to I would rather just not care/know what they're on but when it's shuved in your face like that... ewwww gross!

EXACTLY. people assume that ravers=drugs. yes some...but not all. i RARELY do drugs..very rarely. At school everyone used to think i'd always do E cause i'm the "raver"...so i did my speech ( this may sound stupid but whatever) on raves and the steretypes and i ended up going to the finals! then they started to realise not all ravers do drugs.
