I think everyone just needs to relax. Retail is probably easy, but it doesn't neceassarily negate the fact that you still need to with a lot of bullshit on a daily basis. A job is a job, and I don't see why anyone has any right to judge anyone else based on where they work (hello highschool?) It's especially nobody's job to judge if they're not even employed themselves (glass houses throw stones, etc.)

Ya, I hate the fact that I must pick between two equally busy bridges all the time. I hate the Patullo the most though because it scares the shit out of me. But the Port Mann traffic, especially heading west, coming off the 152nd onramp, is incredibly aggravating. Okay, they both lose. They should just build a big huge ramp over the Fraser. Connect the entire thing...from the withstanding Port Mann to the Patullo....just pave a big huge gigantic overpass.

You're the one that brought up the fact that I work at Off the Wall, I never mentioned anything other that I dislike it when guys come into my store and annoy the staff. It just so happens that a couple days before I replied to this thread I had 3 annoying guys in my store for half an hour, then they left and came back for another hour, purely to hit on one of the staff members. You were the one that brought up where I work.

Also, you can't really say that it's because of &quot;all the bitches that work there&quot;, simply because you may know one or two people that work in the entire company (approx. 225 employees at store level). As for the &quot;trashy clothes&quot; comment, I don't think that many people would consider Triple Five Soul, J.Lo, Ecko Red, Flo Sport, Dish, Mavi, Silver, Dorinha, Dickies, Kitchen, etc 'trashy'.



You've worked retail, and didn't you only work at the Gap as temporary Christmas staff? Sorry but there's a lot more to retail than what you learn as part-time temp staff. Also, the environment and staff responsibility differs greatly between the Gap and Off the Wall; I can say that I know this because a former co-worker of mine's sister has worked at the Gap for as long as I have been at Off the Wall and knows nothing about her company compared to what I know about mine. The biggest reason being the size of Off the Wall (9 stores) compared to the Gap (approx. 4,200 stores, from www.gapinc.com). The smaller size allows for more employee involvement. I can call up Off the Wall's owner at his office during normal weekday hours, and his home number is posted in our office - the same couldn't be said for the Gap in any sense because it's a public company (meaning that there isn't one main owner; ownership is controlled through the stock market [symbol GPS on the NYSE] and a CEO is appointed to run the company).



Last time I checked it wasn't wrong for a friend to stick up for a friend.



Did you work at the same place as I do? No. As I already stated above, one retail store can't reasonably be compared to another because each location is run differently, has different expectations, responsibilities, etc. Off the Wall is not the only retail store that I have worked at, therefore I can vouch for this fact. I never insinuated that I was 'cooler' than anyone, I just don't like it when guys loiter in my store and try to hit on the staff!



I never said that I was better than the rest of this board for having a specific job, I never even said what my job was in this thread - it was Courtney that brought that up.

And for me to say that it was stupid of those guys to come into the mall and hit on the staff at my store is completely fair. The staff are being paid to do their job, and if they are being hit on by some stupid guys then how exactly are they doing their job(s)? Malls are for shopping, working, and the occasional bite to eat. Malls are not supposed to be for loitering, although many people seem to think that they are.
