Room-mates Who Screw You Over
So yah....I've been totally screwed over this month. I lost my job a couple of days ago. I had laryngitis last week so I missed a week of work. My room-mates have decided that they can kick me outta my house first off because I have too many friends and I guess because they're trying to be big-time weed growers they have the right to do this. And secondly because I'm late on rent. I've been the main tenant in this house for over 7 months (my room-mates just moved in last month) and the landlords decided to sign the house over to my other room-mate.which, by the way, was done without my consent. Now my room-mates have been stealing from me for the last two weeks and are making me leave tonight or they're gonna throw me and my cats out on the street. I have nowhere to go as of today and no way to get there!!! I think i'll just go and jump off of a bridge now or maybe I'll just take a machine-gun and blow them all to pieces..........I hate people sometimes!!! :finger:
Sorry for the long rant...but it needed to be done...you know what I'm sayin'? Werd |

^^^^ haha no shit.
wtf...isn't there some law against landlords signing over your place on you without you knowing about it? i know that if my landlord tried to do that he'd be in court before he could say "whut"?? for real....look into it. if you signed a legitimate tenancy agreement then your landlord a: can't sign anything over to anyone else without you knowing...and b: cannot kick you out...honestly, even if you're late on rent...because it's legitimate, you were sick and then got laid off....i'd look into it if i were you... and as far as not having any place to go...what happened to all those friends that you have that you're getting kicked out for??? |

^ your buddies should take you in
but I would just let it go until about a week or 2 before clipping time and make them pay you to keep your mouth shut easy money, who needs a job when there is black-mail :kam: they obviously arn't your friends so don't be theres (sp) |

I looked into the Landlord/ Tenant Commision and I found out a bunch of information that is good to know. But as much as I would love to stay in my own house (I'm gonna be sooo homesick) I also would just rather not be the cause of any other issues. If they want me out I'm out. But I am sending a letter to the landlords to enquire about a few things like the signing over of the house and some other things. I'm currently couch hopping until further notice. I need a truck to move my stuff into a new place. Possibly in Coquitlam...kinda outta tha way but me and my stuff will be respected at least (I hope). Bad Karma is a bitch, I must have some but since everything worked out I think this string bad karma is moving on to new prospects :369: (sorry for the long post again)

Don't go to the Popo...that'll just make you a nark and having that reputation is hard to get rid of. I'd go to a lawyer and talk about the landlord signing it over without your consent. I highly doubt they're actually allowed to do that.
But I totally share in your anger with roomates. We gave our old roomate $100 to put the gas bill on his credit card and we'd pay it off a little at a time. Well, he put in the wrong numbers and our gas got cut off and we had to pay $350. So we lost $450 for a mistake he did. Now he's all coming to us and saying we owe him $900. Oh did I mention he also burned our carpet and hasn't gotten it replaced? This guy was supposed to be my bf's best friend since they were 8 years old. He comes here asking for the money and says "how am I supposed to know you'll pay me?" my bf said "Because I'm your friend". Fuckin roomates. :finger: Well I hope everything works out for you. Good luck. |
