I don't even want to have to get into this post.
For those of you who are going to drill us for having a few fuck ups, stop reading our mag. No, seriously. we only produce 20,000 magazines, and someone else in our city of over 600,000 people will want your copy.
Here's how ION works. It costs us a lot to print an issue, and we dont' make any money when people pick up a copy. We enjoy what we do, but we're all very tired. We've been at it for about a year now, trying our best to be the city's voice by listening to you guys, by writing about what you guys want to hear the way you want to hear it, and we try to be fresh. and yes, it's true, we all work for free.
We're often up for days on end trying to hit our deadlines to produce top quality articles and images for you guys to enjoy. If we make a huge fuck up, it's not like we meant to do it. we're more than likely TIRED. We have a small staff, tucked into a small office. error is a sign that this magazine is made by normal people. Flaws show that we're human, and please don't stop reading our magazine because we're human.
If you guys want to see our magazine increase in quality, than make sure it gets to the hands of the right people. Make sure your friends see it. If there's something you want to hear about, e-mail us. we'll try to get it in. Stop thinking of us as a giant corporation that owes you something. We're here doing something for you, and we ask for nothing in return except for you to enjoy our magazine.
'who would actually do something for free nowadays?'
well, ION has thrown several free parties. we've published about 100,000 free magazines, delivered them to our public and have asking for nothign in return. most of our articles published about local talent is meant to promote local talent. we don't ask them for anything either. so, dlo - you going to take that back?
Blah, thanks myles for supporting us man. but some people just aren't cut out for reading our magazine. or maybe it's the other way around, we don't deserve to have them as our reader.
