I think the point of saying "bros before hos", has nothing to do with guys and girls. I think Bros basicly means someone that you see as an aquaintance that you respect, like the way(not meant to be racist) black people call each other "my brother" even though they aren't related. And Hos can be a boy or a girl, it means someone who is a sexual partner but not an integral part of the persons life.

Unless I'm reading to deeply into this. Maybe this is like a Jerry Springer expression, involving guys who cheat on thier trailer-tramps with thier own brothers; hence Bros before Hos.
