traffic is still shitty .. my dad left work at 7 [north van city hall] and just called to say he's almost on the highway ... that usually takes maybe 15 minutes in traffic. * allie |

ok.. everyday it seems like there are more and more retarded drivers on the road.. they can't drive the speed limit.. drive half on the shoudler of the highway.. poke out 2 car lengths after the stop sign.. u-turn in the middle of traffic on a major street... stop in the middle of the intersection... all examples i've seen in the last week..
if you drive a car.. and can say you do these things.. be prepared to have me yell at you on the road.. thankyou =) |

here..i'll post the article just in case ppl missed my link.. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wednesday, November 26, 2003 One person died when this vehicle flipped over and burst into flames in a four-vehicle crash on the Trans-Canada Highway in Vancouver. A fiery crash on the Trans-Canada Highway in Vancouver has killed one person and sent another to hospital. Four cars were involved in the collision, which resulted in one car flipping over and bursting into flames. The driver of that car died in the fire, while a motorist who stopped to help the victim suffered third-degree burns to his hands and face. "They tried to help him out but they couldn't help him because it was too hot," witness Karim Kanji said. "He was trying to tell the guy to crawl towards him and he would have pulled him, but he couldn't go any closer than he already was. "There really isn't much you can do because nobody really carries around fire extinguishers or anything like that in their cars." According to witnesses, a five-ton truck tried to change lanes and clipped the car, which flipped over and slammed into the eastbound abutment. John Bozak said he saw the car fly through the air, hit the pavement and turn into a ball of fire. "I saw this person crawling out of the vehicle, trying to get up," he said. Bozak and other bystanders wanted to try and pull him out, but they were told to stay back because the vehicle was going to blow. "It was just shortly after that, the vehicle blew at least three times, there were three loud explosions," Bozak said. The crash forced the closure of Highway One's eastbound lanes between McGill and Grandview Highway. As a result, bridge traffic was backed up on the Second Narrows, Ironworker's Memorial and Lion's Gate. Last edited by ~lazee_grrl~; Nov 27, 03 at 02:48 PM. |

I saw the fatal accident on the news... it looked realy bad, but at least someone tried to save the guy...
They are still doing lots of roadwork, i guess its cause of the nice weather. They had part of the lougheed in 1 lane traffic today during rushhour....I thought that was a little distasteful |
