My Jeep's Stuck At Stave Lake...

I can't f*cking believe this....I go off-roading after such a long time and there I go getting stuck in 2 feet of mud...and it was a totally unprepared move as well to go off-roading so I was wearing white shoes and like nice clothes...I was brown from head to toe when I got home minus my jeep...

Does anyone got a electric or manual winch I could borrow?? Or maybe someone with a good off-roading truck and tow straps out there??

I'm willing to negotiate any kind of reward money that's reasonably within my range to pay :)

Thanks...I'll need it :c-tard: , that mud is not to joke with...3 other trucks coming to my rescue got stuck also, then someone came and got them all out but by the time they got to me it was dark and it just kept pouring so I had to abondon ship and hitch a ride back with these really nice ppl actually, Jim his name was...
Special Konrad picked me and my friends up at the Albion ferries where Jim and his girlfriend dropped us off...so ya...I'll see what happens today maybe I can find someone to help me get it out...

you could probably get a wheel/pulley system from a hardware renting place. couple that with a come-along, some friends, and beer to bribe them with, and you should be able to pull it out. it'd just take you a lonnnng time.

a winch would work too, but i'm not sure if you can rent them, or know how easy they would be to install.

yah see thats what happens when you have a shitty little 4x4 without a lift kit and super swampers, and thats what happens when you try to flex your nuts and thus digging out deeper ruts and getting stuck in them!

bravo

It wasn't how good or bad my jeep was...a jacked up ford came to my rescue and got stuck 50meters away from my spot...a buddy of his came to save him with an even better toyota (much larger mudders) and he got stuck too...their buddy came with a half decent p/u and at least got stuck in the act of saving the other....then finally a huge blazer came along saved all the guys and by the time he got to mine it was dark, raining more *kinda like now* and they were all exhausted from getting the others out....then he still tried though to get to me and even the blazer guy got stuck 10 meters away from me and he had to use his winch to get himself out...so then he just offered a ride back to town unless I was up for sleeping in my jeep so I decided to leave since it will sink even deeper now with these kinda rains continuing....

so my point....I made it pretty far into that deep mud and had no problems with "my shitty little 4X4" yet the others had better mudders and vehicles and couldn't even get close to the spot that I was at....makes u wonder u had the shitty 4X4 eh??

Yeah I'm totally on that...I'm trying to rent a trifor winch...its perfect for a situation like this...I think two good friends of ours are going to help me I heared but I'll see what happens... maybe too much rain won't let us do the job today....dunno but I'm hoping for the best....

I have a cold too so, it wouldn't have helped freezing in my truck...I wasn't prepared to stay the night....plus no phone reception to call for help man....so there was no point of staying...cause we technically couldn't....but there is couple off-roader buddies camping close by that are keeping an eye on it...
I woulda heared about it if something was missing by now...oh and "MR.Wrong" for the quote up top.....not "free jeep" but "free the jeep" sounds better....take my jeep if ya can...I doubt you'll get far....you won't get off the mud plains....I got starter kill....hehehe

aww, Dan, i'm sorry to hear that. can't Roadside Assistance help you at all (it would probably cost a fortune, but...)?

yah, i realize there was already a retort to this... but that road is REALLY bad, I've known many many people who have completely fucked up their vehicles up there - one friend of mine was just drivin along the road and went through a "puddle" that almost submerged the truck... messed up the engine badly. Point being that you knew NOTHING of the circumstances involved in this guy getting stuck, so maybe you should go flex your nuts elsewhere.

glad to hear you got your jeep out alive man.

Thanx Pbreak...Yeah totally correct....coulda happened to anyone in any kind of situation...that's just what off-roading is about....driving along or rippin' donuts in the plains....sometimes u just hit 5 feet deep mud or "puddles" that are hiding 3 metre trenches below them... but I'm super glad I got it out...met some cool 4x4 club members too...they got 2 pics of the retrieval I'll try to get off them...and once the damn galleries fixed I'll post them up for sure...

Nice... we were gonna give my buddy '82 rabbit a hocky puck lift and take it up there to destroy it, just never got around to it - would be hella fun though.

i dunno i always used to go 4x4ing at the winerys where u meet metal spikes protruding from the earth which are hidden and alot worse terrain. we used to rip shit up hauling ass through huge ass "puddles" more so lakes, and we didnt get stuck.
