More moderation pissing.
For crying out loud.
I remember a day when ][nkster left himself logged into DBO's computer and later we were given a fun post entitled "An Ackward Question" that involved Hello Kitty Vibrators and Dale's ass. It was one of the most brilliant posts I've ever seen.
So now some homophobic scenester gets his friend's login on FNK and makes a post "Ha ha I'm gay ha ha rigid pole"
Now, first of all, this was pretty juvenile and unimaginative. Come on, you fuckers. Post something funny for once. Let me just let you understand here the Property of Practical Jokes: A Practical Joke that isn't funny is barely a Practical Joke At All. More just being a 15 year old dipshit.
Next, to compound the amount of homophobia emenating from the thread, the poster comes on, and says "fuck" with the most amount of k's I've ever seen in a single word (Three would have gotten your point across enough thank you very much) saying "I'M NOT GAY!" in about as distraught a voice as possible (Methinks he doth protest too much) and begging for the post to be deleted.
Now, I'm not surprised, but it got deleted.
What pisses me off about it was that it could have been a decent opportunity to break through homophobia and get these kids to stop being so repressed about it and maybe, just maybe, break through into someone's mind so that they're a bit less frightened and a bit more accepting of stuff like homosexuality.
But no. Keep it under the carpet, that's our motto. Life is PLURful and fantastical and god forbid should anybody ever see what goes on in the world.
Moderation on these boards solves nothing. If anything, the whole Funk Me fiasco should be an indicator of that.
