I dont mind doing laundry except
when I leave my clean laundry in the washer for a few days (ewww it isnt so clean after that :239: ) or when Im too lazy to seperate (all the time) and I turn white things pink or grey :091: or when the dryer takes 12 cycles to dry things :154: (ok thats mostly cuz I always forget to clean the lint thing) or when it comes time to put clean laundry away and there is no room in my drawers or closet - so I just throw it on my bed and sleep with it until I run out of clothes and have to wear whats now less clean and wrinkly ok perhaps I dont like doing laundry as much as I previously imagined |

oh don't get me wrong, I LOVE doing laundry. I love doing all those domestic things.
The best thing about laundry is the vanilla dryer sheets! Then afterwards I fold everything in the perfect and anal way I learned from years of working retail...it's all kind of a zen experience for me haha really..I'm a nerd :( Last edited by miss.myra; May 25, 04 at 11:32 AM. |

VANILLA LAUNDRY DETERGENT?!?!
i love doin laundry as well.. i like taking care of my clothes. i guess im spoiled with having the washer and dryer at home. i think having to to go to the laundromat would be a diff story. draggin it to the place and having to wait around til its done..wow that would be a pain. i usually do 3 loads of laundry a week.. and handwash other clothes etc.. i love it. and cleaning my shoes and sprayin it with shoe protector spray..OH I LOVE IT. such a fuckin geek. |

Jim/Cubed and I can go a month+ without doing laundry.
Of course, that usually results in having to do 8-10 loads of laundry. Since our building only has two washers and dryers, we save time by lugging all our shit to a laundromat. Laundry's done every three weeks on average. I love sorting clothes too. I have a wonderful system I developed when I was 11 and had to do my entire family's laundry every week. --white socks and undies --white towels ( I have lots of white towels) --whites in general --light colours (towels can be thrown in this pile) --dark colours --blacks (i throw black socks and undies in this pile usually) --reds/oranges [ok, those were rules my mom had] I can usually get away with just doing --whites X 2 loads --light colours X 2 --dark colours X 2 --blacks X 2 loads --coloured towels Tip: If you fold/hang your clothing the second they come out of the dryer, you wont have to iron them later. |

I dislike doing laundry... a lot.... It's time consuming, and I own a whole shitload of clothing... I mean a shitload...
And I am one of those people that dryes everything on the delicate cycle, because I hate my clothing shrinking in the slightest... |

I loooove to do laundry. but. I hate the set up. and the fact that we have no dryer. so I have to hang everything. and everything gets stiff. or the lugging to the 'mat. and the discontinued my favorite peach sheets. and everytime I have to deplete my ever dwindling hoard. but other than that its love.

I just dropped mine off at the laundrymat on the way to work today and picked it up on the way home!
For 8 bucks, someone did it for me! I was amazed because the woman did an amazing job of folding things, and she even colour coded all my stuff (just like I do!)..which is nice, because I am waay too exhausted for laundry today |
