Hey Buddy...CAN YOU NOT READ??! Did I not say that drinking and driving is WRONG? The point I'M trying to get across is that drinking and driving is inevitable. Stupid people are going to do it no matter what. The only thing I want to get into people's heads is that IF they are actually going to drink and drive, do so SLOWLY. DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

i agree with you to a certain extent on this. yea that already sounds all wrong on my part but "personally" i think "some" people who are very capable of driving after smoking a few joints or having a few drinks etc are alright to drive to a certain extent. It really depends on the person. For me and most of my friends we always come out everyday smoke weed and have a few drinks but we can all drive normally. If at any point i know that maybe im the slightest bit tipsy i wont play hero and be like "no man i can drive". Alot of peopel might not agree but whatever.

If you know you are going to an event are are going to drink or be under the influence of any substance then you shouldn't drive. Period.

I rather spend $20 for the cab and eat instant noodles for a few days than be responsible for what may happen while DUI of something.

You people are not getting what I'm trying to say. If you read what I said in my first posting, did I not say that if anyone is going that fast down a city street, they're just asking for an accident?

I'm not trying to condone drinking and driving. I, personally, DON'T drive if I know I'm going to drink--I'm usually the designated driver. I DON'T think ANYONE should drink and drive. I have friends (most recently, Ian--who is partially the reason why this thread was started) who've died due to that.

The only thing I'm trying to say, or figure out, is WHY, once someone decides to take upon themselves the responsibility of driving drunk, they ALSO want to speed?!! If this (M...) dumbass wasn't going at 160 km/h, Ian and Sam would still be alive (but then the passengers should also have told him to slow down...)

I'm all FOR taking a cab or transit--I agree w/ u--eat instant noodles for a few days if you have to--BUT for those people who ARE going to drink and drive no matter WHAT, SLOW THE FUCK DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
