i find pen and paper writing better because i dont have the safety net of a backspace. i have to write myself out of corners instead of deleting paragraphs. mistakes make something personable.

i agree, that's why typewriters are so cool too. the mistakes are there for all to see.

Actually it would be "ober da"... if you're going to speak it, speak it right. I do agree that the English language has been bastardized and thrashed by the new Generation of People. I can't believe the way some people SPEAK nevermind write. I print quite nicely... I never have been able to Handwrite good. It looks the same as when I first learned in in Grade 4. But I think much faster when I'm using a keyboard and I try not to lower myself to using slang but sometimes it happens. I was taught that when you write you're supposed to sound smarter than when you speak. lol Some people prove this. I like to think that I'm about even. :p

it may not be a big deal at all. perhaps, it's just my own little pet peeve that won't lead to anything more upsetting than my own personal annoyance.

but i can see it leading to the loss of the beauty and complexity of the english language. people shortening language until it gets to the point that we don't even need to speak coherent sentences anymore but just a stream of acronyms and shortened words.

maybe i'm paranoid? probably. but i could still see it happening.
