credit card bills of $1000 are not fun :(

i used to get them all the time last summer, but last summer was when i first got into dj'ing so you can imagine all the stuff i was buying (turntables, mixer, recs, etc)

this bill's from just regular usage.. WTF :(

for some reason i have managed to avoid using my card for the past few months. crazy! it feels good not paying a $500+ bill every month though

^ yeah no kidding

between my MC and Visa I owe $3200, and I'm not fretting about it, what's the point? life's too short to worry about credit card bills - just max them out, pay them off, and do it all over again! It's just like lather, rinse, repeat!

I agree! Im up to $4800 between visa and MC.. who cares.. I have my whole life to pay it off.. Im only 20.. I want to buy everything!!

I don't care when my visa bill comes.. i know how much is on it (online banking) and I know I have enough in the bank to cover it..

I only use my visa when I have to, like paying for my plane ticket (who has 1500 lying around) or when I went shopping in the states.. (damn americans won't take my debit card)

you should use cash/debit more than your credit card.. get into the habit of it and you won't get such large bills.

i hate visa bills too, i think im gonna cut them up one of these days. i have 4200 royal, 1500 cibc, 1500 td 4600 brick and 500 future shop. one thing i noticed is when you actually pay them off, you just buy more again because you have no credit bills to pay and your used to paying every month. credit cards are such a trap :enrage: :enrage: :enrage:

I took my visa and put it on ice literally... I had it in there for prob a good 3 months and saved moocho bling. Alas though, as everyone knows credit cards are the work of the devil, and it eventually melted its way to freedom and made its way back into my wallet.

You're are all so young!

I think that a lot of you should just cut up your credit Cards and pay them off.
Also I suggest paying them off in chunks, never pay them minimum. Doing that is literally just giving money away.
If you can't afford high montly payments try at least paying 25% more than the minimum. You'd be amazed how much faster you get rid of the debt

For anyone with will power and enough common sense not to spend money you don't have. I recomend what I'm currently doing. I pay for everything i can with my credit card.
When I'm out for dinner with friends I get people to give me money and I pay with credit. If a friend is making a large purchase I get him to pay me cash and I'll pay with credit.
At the end of the month I am sure to pay off everything in full so I don't pay any interest.

This will give me a great credit rating and in the future will be very valueable to me.
They will raise my limit and line of credit and I can pretty much have the freedom to do anything I want. Such as start my own business or
When it's time to buy a house or a nice car I'll be able to do it without a problem.

To anyone who has $1000 or more debt and if they are slowly paying it off. I recomend you ask the bank for a line of credit.
That is an amount of money in a special account that you can use and will have to pay back with a low interest rate.
Use this line of credit to pay off your credit card and then pay this off in monthly instalments. You'll be paying aprox 6.9% instead of 18%
or $69 interest for every $1000 instead of $180!

if used properly and wisely credit can be your freind and more powerful than lots of money. If used unwisely credit can be the devil

i can easily pay off this bill, it just surprised me since i havent really done or bought much this month! i pay for everything with my credit card too, which is probably why its so high, but i never charge more than i can afford to pay off.

and then keep track of all your purchases

it's pretty easy to forget $20 here and $30 there but it adds up!

oh yeah i know! ive got online banking setup and last summer i used to checkup on my credit card balance every few days. lately i havent really been checking up on it, and all everything from buying lunch at work, to buying alcohol on the weekends, to even filling up on gas has totally added up behind my back! :(

i just paid off a 1400 bill last month... debt is so stupid. take out a small loan pay off your debts cuz the loan will have a lower interest rate. this is after you cut up your fucking cards.
good lord, stupid people really do make the world go round.
