i've never had slut called to my face but from the looks people give me i know theyre thinking it. i like the way i dress. my everyday clothes may seem like clubbing clothes compared to other people's everyday wears but i feel good in them. i dont let my tits show or hike my shirt up so ppl can see my asscrack and i'm not one of those big drils that wear clothes that are 5 sizes too small.
i think girls think they have to compete with each other earlier and earlier on. who's the first to wear makeup, more "grown up" clothes, do drugs, mess around with someone and ultimately sleep with someone. these images are drilled into their heads everyday by varous sources. and they type of clothing they sell at teenage store sicken me. i mean, if that's all you see and can buy, theres nothing for you to do.

I'm sure it's got a lot to do with media 'n stuff... it's just REALLY sad that kids nowadays often feel they HAVE to dress a certain way just to feel better about themselves. I was a stupid kid too...it's taken me years to overcome the notion that we need to look like them supermodels or movie stars in order to be seen as beautiful or pretty. It's just too bad.

you make your own choices and if you're that easily brainwashed by society maybe you deserve what you get to an extent.
there are way to many little girls that aren't cool unless they are into sex at a young age in guys eyes. sure blame the girls for lettingit happen but in reality it's mostly the guys image of being a sex god that makes them act like they do.

All this shit started (and become so disgustingly obvious) because of what we see in the media, how we are exposed to the media, and where the fuck our parents are while their teenagers are out doing god knows what. (Like raving... Heaven forbid...)
Case closed. No one to idolize = No one to dress like. Where do we get our influence? From the TV or the Internet, hands down. Who do we see constantly in the spotlight on the TV or the Internet? Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera... We have created this false-hood that its okay for THEM to dress and do what ever the hell they want because they are celebrities, when in reality they are just another chick walking down the street in a low cut top and tight tight jeans. I so don't agree with that "If you don't like it, don't look at it" bullshit. How the fuck can you escape something that is on practicully EVERY channel 24/7? How the fuck can you escape something that is plastered on billboards and in magazines? Shut yourself in a box? I think not. The media is fucked, and its passing along the lack of self respect and dignity that we should be raised with. I sure as hell wouldn't let my 13 year old daughter out of the house in a tube top and a mini skirt where her ass is hanging out. People that let their kids do this and then wonder why everything is so wrong, need to be smacked up-side the head. So another can of worms opened, its got a lot to do with parenting ( or lack there of ) as well. Too much to say... Brain on overload...-end rant for now. I wrote a lot of meaningful stuff here but it was all pretty self-evident...
Makes me sick, and feel like a pervert because it's hard to avoid the occasional glance at some underage 'skank' to use the parlance of our times. Maybe if I hadn't been an ugly nerd when I was 15 I'd have been all up in that shit though, as it was I think books got to me far before the media did...

i agree and disagree with what silverwinged has said.
Yes, you can ALMOST shut yorself in a box...but not quite. I thnk parents should seriously moderate what thier children are consuming. I also think parents should instill strong morals and a good value system in thier chidren. I alo think parents should be wordly and have vast knoweldge&experience with many different social scenes and cultures, being honest with thier children about thier lives pastt&present and giving them the choice to choose whats right for them be it pop culture or a sub culture like RAVE! I also think parents should instill it in thier children that it is okay to be different. I think alot of parents are failing to do so, by choice or not by choice...either way its inexcusable. Thats why we are now seeing so many scantly clad youngings runing rampant...cuz thier parents never took the time...or they took the time but didnt use thier time wisely. Rather then giving words of praise, thier children are greeted with words of scorn. But then again what the fuck do I know about raising kids hence i dont have any of my own. I guess im just forming my opinion based on what my parents have taught me. And you know what, what i just said could very well all be crap cuz my parents were like i had stated above both the positive and negative...AND LOOK AT ME NOW! hmm

and then when people actually grow up a little they realize that it doesn't matter how many people you've been with. It is about the person. If you are sleeping with someone because you have low self esteem then you are doing it for the wrong reasons. If you are sleeping with someone because you happen to like sex, then who cares?! There are too many labels in this world. I would rather have a relationship with someone who has been with 500+ people because they like sex than with someone who has been with one person because of low self esteem. If you are shallow enough to make a character judgement on someone because of how many people they've been with sexually, then you really need to give your head a shake and grow the fuck up!
