Meh, my parents gave my brother a car and a computer as well as tonnes of cash all the way through university...I paid for my own the whole way...It ain't no thing though...He's a good guy.

fuck, I totally know how you feel!

When I was 17 my grandparents gave me my grandma's old '89 Probe...it's cost me $3000 in work since I've had it, which is practically the worth of the car! So when they bought my brother a sweeeeeeet totally done out, body kit, '89 Mustang GT I was fucking CHOKED. They handed him $11,000 and I got a piece of shit car!

Good news is, apparently they're going to give me the same amount towards pretty much whatever car I want...'01 Celica here I come!

but yeah that sucks. i think my older sister got everything and i got either jack shit or had things she already used the hell out of passed down to me. then she would get a newer version from my parents.

my parents were never big on buying me gifts. i figure them paying for my education was enough.

i never got a car given to me when i was old enough to drive. i drove my moms a bit here and there.
maybe because i knew i wanted to work my ass off and buy a new car.
which is what i did.
my brother had a hand me down untill he was about 19.
and then we both got new cars around the same age. and hopefullllllly withing the next 6 months ill get a new car.

It's ok sheena, my parents just gave my sister her own computer and they have started a savings account for her college already. They never put a penny aside for me to go to school and I have to use my own money that I paid them in rent to buy a computer. How about i get neil to pee in the gas tank or something, would that make you feel better?

You'll just end up being a better person for it...

When I was 16 my parents gave me a POS... 86 Grand Prix... I treated the car like garbage because i hadn't worked for it... when the car was finally done, my dad told me I could 'rent' his beat up pick-up truck off him for a fee when I waned to use it... I did on occasion, but started to save up for a mini van(i'm in sales)... finally I saved up, bought a mini van, started running a crew, and just this summer bought my dad's corvette off of him... Having worked for both my vehicles, i treat them really well, because it was my money and hard work that paid for them.

Same thing with school... i got accepted into UBC, but my parents wouldn't pay for me... so I've jsut been working and saving up for school aswell, and am planning on starting just at douglas college in January... IF I had gone to UBC on their dollar I probably would have fucked around and jsut partied it up... but because I am gonna pay for all my own classes, I am gonna make sure I get good grades...

You might think it sucks right now, your brother getting nice shit, and you getting nothing, but it will jsut make you work harder for the things you want.
