"Dance Moves" on bpm.tv

alright.. so a couple months ago i was watching BPM:TV and i noticed they had a show called "Dance Moves"

now.. that episode they were doing alittle show case..

the "choreographer" (Simone Maurice) did sum tutting, locking, uprocking, gliding.. sum stuff like that
but everything she did look so horribly done... it pissed me off..
the "back up dancers" were all off timing.. sum of them didnt even do the movement... it sucked.. they had a choreographer(male) come in and teach the 'fresno' and 'old man' ... (he's a good choreographer.. forgot his name)
then at the end they had alittle circle thing.. so the male choreographer goes in and does sum bboying... then the "back up" dancers go in and do sum liek choreographed shit.. w/e its cool if ur doing that but not wen the show is about that praticular topic..

anyways.. i was watching BPM:TV like 10mins ago.. and during the commercials they have like "On The Move" which is a short lesson of a movement...

last time i saw it.. she was teaching "side slide" in other words gliding.. and she looked like a goof doing it.. and not doing it properly...

now i see her doing "the harlem shake" that jus set me off.. she did it soooooo bad like there's a couple ways but the way she was doing it was horrible.. it didnt even look like "the harlem shake" IMO

it pisses me off.. to see that these goofs have a show wen they cant even do movements properly... if ur gonna have a show teaching ppl how to dance.. at least get the god damn movements rite.. fuck.. it pisses me off.. like dancing is my passion and wen i see that i get so fucking mad... i swear i made my bro sit through that whole episode.. as i was ranting bout everything:finger:... i jus joined the bpm:tv forum and as soon as the admin accepts my activation ima rant in the forum about the show..

ugh... to think they get paid for looking like goofs and even if they didnt get paid.. why are they on the air? especially on a channel like BPM:Tv which is an ever growing network

Don't be too hard on them cuz I don't think they're getting paid very much, and not even Maurice makes a living off it, I'm pretty sure.

Funny thing is - that show is about hip hop dancing and that type of music is a very minor thing on that channel. So a lot of people wonder why they have that program.

bpm tv is a whole channel... sumthing on that channel are actually pretty good. They have euro music videos, interview djs and show sum awsome clubs. I do agree tho that the ' learn to dance' shows are quite cheesy

they should jus record kids freestylin it at parties and clubs and shit, and put THAT on TV.. it'd be way tighter.. then they'd jus catch ppl without them knowin, and they'd see themselves on TV! and wut makes me even more mad.. is the fact... if she's a representitive... yes i understand she's sticking up for the choreographer.. but she should also sound like she cares bout my opinion.. cuz after all i am a viewer.. and if it wasnt for ppl like me (viewer) there would be no point in tv.. or having a show like that...

gia..ever thought about puttin ure anger into action and get serious about dancing? seriously with the amount of passion im reading, you should definately think about getting into the field.

i hate watching dance on tv.. u have to pick bits of moves and try to appreciate it. dance 360 is an absolute joke.. there are so many good dancers in this world and they just have to find random "dudes" on the street. i can't believe there are worst dancers than mase...and surprisingly dance 360 collected them all into one room. like sorry gurl.. shaking ure bootay and grinding it on the floor is not really dancing. hmm i do like watching music vid to pick up moves.. hmm on top of my mind that ciara- goodies actually have some awesome dancing in it.. even though she's absolutely hideous looking, the choregraphy and dancing is well done.

actually bev.. i have wanted to be a choreograher since i was about in gr 6.. ive jus recently learned to get into funk styles.. and ive noticed how its so big in music video's... by raving im gaining 'street cred' which is something i want to have... luckily i dont have "dance 360" no upn :( but if i did id prob be grinding my jaw into incineration..

i wanna get into dance comp's.. video's.. w/e as long as i can get my hands on something involving dance... i want to have credibilty so when i do apply to teach classes of some sort i have a good repetoir(sp?)

i agree the ciara video looks good.. too bad i dun got a booty to make those booty dances look good :p

and music video's are what made me wanna be a choreographer.. always had a passion for dancing.. but the vids r wut did it..

p.s i may be a dreamer.. but w/out dreamers like me.. there would be no singers, actors, doctors, painters... anything.. and life would be boring.. everyone would be stuck in a 9-5 job.

but i need a way to start.. i jus dunno where.

there are SO many ways to get started in getting into the dance loop. as a baby i wanted to be a dance teacher and do backup dancing... too bad the dream got slaughtered by basketball, but no regrets. i personally dont know the most efficient way, but getting attached to a dance studio would be my first guess. harbour sometimes hold open auditions at their studio for events/groups etc.. taking more classes and be recognize as a good dancer and chatting it up with ppl in the scene and gettin advice in how to start teachin would be most accessable way. i think every girl/guy that has a love for dance all want to be honey, but its all up to yourself to push yourself to that level. i think addy on fnk can prob give you some advice, cuz she's definately living tons of lil girls dreams right now, but she worked her ass off to get where she is now.
