What I meant was this. It struck me that it might be a huge ego boost for some women if they managed to (even temporarily?) make a gay man straight, or drag them into their bedroom.
Maybe it's not the only reason, but it's the only one I can think of that made much sense.

to me that's not what a fag hag is, a fag hag is just a girl who has a lot of gey friends, a girl who thinks she's hot enough to convert her gay friend
(for good, aside from some curious one night stand or something) isnt a fag hag, she's deluded :P i saw something like that on doctor phil. but it was some chick who was in love with her gay friend and was trying to force herself upon him lol.. getting him drunk etc

I'm pretty sure it means the 'deluded' version you mentioned. It's the only context I've seen it in, and I'm not sure it'd have such a derogatory term if it was the first thing you described.

no a girl with lots of gay friends is just a girl that happens to get along with gay guys.
a fag hag is a girl that gets excited over every fag she meets, because he is a poofter. a girl that befriends a hot fag in hopes of getting dibes on him if he were ever to give girls a chance is just a loser.

it's impossible to go out with my bestfriends without getting haggled by a fag hag.

I really really have a hard time getting girls that think they can change gay guys or that are even attracted to gay guys. I have lots of gay guys but I always think of them as another girl. My bestfriend has girls falling in love w/ him all the time. I always feel so sorry for them but........he likes dick, what is there to not understand?

this thread made my morning... i used to be more of a 'fruit fly' back in the day, but its a full time job that takes a lot out of a girl, and lets just say there are a lot of gay men who dont even want anything to do with a girl, or who will always treat/look at you different even in a friendly way if you dont have a dick. Also, way too much drama for my mind.
