Kerry wouldn't have been much better on foreign policy and abortion rights will not be taken away but I do think that Americans will be worse off at home with Bush in power.

Do I really need explain that the Dem's and Rep's basically agree on foriegn policy? At this point the US is in Iraq and they're staying. It's going to be at least a few more years and LOTS of casualties before they leave. Look forward to another draft as well. Recruitment sign ups are lagging and the national guard is already getting depeleted. Are you one of the millions of newly impoverished Americans out there? Well get used to it!

As for Roe versus Wade. It's not going to be overturned any time soon. Political appointments just won't get through the conformation hearing anymore. Also the Supreme Court manages to avoid most of the polictical mood swings of the day as you are appointed for life and don't have to answer to a political party.

And BTW, the Bush administration re-zoned some of the key states that voted Democratic in 2000, so that even if they all voted for Kerry, he would still come up 10 electoral votes shy of the 270 required to win the election.
