the story:

I'm looking for my pallet jack... I notice that someone else has acquired it (I know its mine because there are two new ones and I and another person unrelated to the story was)... so what. who cares? if someone else is using it I'll just find another one... no big deal... I just give a look of notice, don't even say anything, (didn't accuse or even ask for it back) and he starts getting all fucking defensive and hostile about its he's using it and it's not the one I was using... in total shock over how he's acting, I just give him a blank stare and then leave... so... I go get the nearest one for myself so I can continue my work, which happens to be in his isle... shouldn't really matter... he's got one, I got one, cool... NO! when he's done he goes into his isle and screams "that fucker!" and then comes into my isle and steals my jack right in my face WHILE I'm doing my fucking work... the lead hand comes by and tells him to get another one, settled... when my shift ends, I put his jack back in his isle... he goes "fucking smart ass!", I go "fuck off!", he goes "run like a fucking chicken!" what the fuck?! threats?! over a fucking pallet jack?!

some people just really need to chill... anger is normal... THIS breed of bullshit isn't...

I would've suggested arranging a practical joke with the supervisor to hide all the jacks somewhere but the guy would probably tear the place down looking for them.

when i was warehousing and people bitched about getting their jack stolen we'd lift it up with forks and put it on the top rack and make them pull boxes around for a while, both parties

actually... I think I'm going to arrange one that involves using an electric jack to push a heavy ass skid sideways in his isle so he wouldn't be able to fit his jack in... by the time he starts his shift the receiver will be using it...

Yesterday I was heading to the park at Davie and Pacific. Walking down Davie, a guy wants to make a right turn into the alley... he waves me on, but I had already stopped, so I wave for him to go through in front of me

Well he goes in front of me.. and then stops, blocking me off. Then rolls down his window. Then starts giving me shit!!

"HEY! Listen buddy, I'm trying to be nice and wave you through, I don't need this FUCKING ATTITUDE from you OK.." etc etc

After his diatribe he quickly rolled up his window and carried on.. He completely surprised me (mostly because I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG) but I think I managed to blurt out something along the lines of "I was just waving you through, wtf?!"

Yaletown life must be really stressful. Or some people are just jerks.
