Walked out of work Today...
Okay,
So the girl that was stealing tips from our tip jar at work.... got caught the other day, by myself and another girl that works there. We approached our manager. She said she would deal with it. So this morning, i'm in there at 830am, and at 930, the bitch who stole our tips comes prancing in to start her shift. I wasss FURIOUS. I thought she was going to be "dealt with". But the manager is too much of a fucking pussy to take a stand and fire her for what she's been doing for the past 3 months!!!!! The theif always ends up crying her eyes out, making a scene, and then the manager will feel sorry for her. GAHHHH. I stood there, in awe that this girl put on her apron and started fucking working. I couldn't take it. I couldn't just stand there and work with a thief!!! So i called my manager at home (she has the day off)... I told her I was completely uncomfortable working with this person and that I would like one of us to go home please. She told ME to leave. I was like "What the fuck. This girl is stealing from us, and you're CUTTING MYYYY HOURS so SHE can stay here and make HER hours!?!?" I was absolutely blown away. I am not a thief. I have been making an honest living at this fucking job for 4 months now. I deserve to work a full shift without feeling uncomfortable or having my tips stolen. So here I sit, at home, after my manager told me that "she shouldn't have to fucking babysit her staff, and Christy you need to shut the fuck up and go home". Does anyone here find this as fucking rediculous as I do? I'm fucking baffled. I don't know what to do. Should I keep my job? I can't afford to quit!! I can't afford to work with this girl either!! HELP!

find a new job as soon as possible, and then quit, and when u do, make a BIG ASS HUGE SCENE, and punch that theif bitch in the face... im so sorry baby, this sounds just awful, is there n e one above ur manager u can go to? cause hey, maybe u can get her fired.. i have NEVER heard of ANYONE keeping their job after stealing money.. thats FUCKED UP. *mwah mwah mwah* and mad *hugs* for u from me.

I'd be pissed if I were you too. But by saying that you wanted either you or her to leave, you were attempting to force your managers hand. Managers hate when you do this kind of shit. As much as I agree with you, I'm not surprised she made you leave. I'd talk to her about it in person, but don't try to make threats or force her to do something, or she'll be a bitch.

at the palce my momused to work at this chick stole $5000 over liek a couple months and they found out....the boss wouldnt fire her cuz he said she had to work to pay off the $5000...and hes taking half her wages...so now she sits aroudn all day doing nothing, and gets paid half for it.....fuckign irdiculous...but yea...you shouldnt work osmehwere liek that.....jsut punch that bithc in the face...and smack your manager too haha then get a new job :D they dont pay u well enough for you to have to stay there and deal with that kindof shit

umn.....im not sure how much experience you have with cops myra, but they have better things to deal with than that....they will not care abotu a tip jar...the most they will do would be to inform the manager and they woudl be pissed that they were called out for soemthing small like that...im nto tryign to sound like an ass or anyhitng missy, but you cant cal lthe cops
they really wouldnt care...it owudl be a waste of their time...expecially since your mgr already knows.....

but it doesnt mean getting cops involved will help at all... im speakign from experience...as i said i knwo someone that stole over $5000....and there is nothign cops will even do abotu that....so imsure the cops wont help with a tips jar thing....

I told her to explore her options with the police. I actually think that if she did contact them and tell them about her experience, they may come to speak to this particular nutjob. Laws are laws, no matter how petty the crime is. Like, I'm really sorry that your one bad experience with police has apparently made you a total fucking expert on the topic, but I'm making a suggestion because right now my friend feels helpless.

I wouldn't call the cops on it either, just seems like its over reacting a little. Isn't there someone above your manager that you can talk to? And is she still stealing, or has she stopped? Maybe even talk to the girl who was doing it and tel her you know what's up.
