i think im only of the only girls i know who dont swear by mavi.
i actually hate the way mavis fit me. my personal favorite jean is the diesel nadar. some wouldnt think its work the $225, but when it fits like a glove and lasts forever...sure its worth the 3 pairs i own. i used to get dish for cheap cheap cheap from pharsyde. very comfortable, but not as durable as diesel. i want to get my hands on a pair of the new ezra fitch jeans...abercrombie has always made durable jeans ive found. and these new ones are hot. p.s. don't tell me i pay too much for clothes. i buy what i like. i buy for quality not quantity. |

^ Stop putting your clothes in the freaking dryer! Wash them in cold water, hang to dry, NO SHRINKAGE.

What we're saying is that we happen to like jeans that cost $200, we make enough money to pay for them and it not be an issue, so we buy them. If I couldn't afford it, I definitely wouldn't be paying that kinda cash. For example, I would looooove to be able to afford to buy a new pair of jeans right now (Seven A Pocket - I WANT YOU!) but thanks to my car I have some debt I need to pay off BEFORE I can start dropping money on clothes. Obviously our other responsiblities (rent, car payments, cell phone, food, etc. etc.) come first, but if we have enough expendable income left over, we can spend it on whatever we like! |

^ Sure it is.
99% of the time, $200 jeans are extremely high quality, whereas $30 jeans are generally lower than average quality. So from that statement one may gather the assumption that $30 jeans look cheap, which is no necessarily true. Of course some look cheap, but overall, they will probably look decent at least, the just probably won't last nearly as long as more expensive ones. When I buy a pair of jeans, I look for style and quality before I look at the price. I want a pair of jeans that I LOVE, and that I can love for years to come because their quality is so good that they will not wear out, rip, etc.. Usually, things are cheaper in price for a reason. A lot of companies that produce jeans in the $30 - $40 dollar range cheap out on quality thread, quality machines, quality denim, etc., hence the reason they can sell them so cheap. Here's a breakdown for you, keep in mind that each pair of jeans takes about 30 - 90 minutes of manpower to make, depending on the wash. Retail price = $30 Wholesale price = $15 Manufacturers cost after shipping = $10 Shipping costs (from overseas) = $2-3 per garment (minimum) Wage of employees making jeans (overseas) = $2-3 per hour @ 60 mins per pair (avg) So the money left over for the actual fabric, thread, and washing is between $4 - $6. Quality fabric and thread for a pair of jeans cannot be purchased for that price, even if it is in huge quantities. So my point is that while you don't think you're being cheap by purchasing $30 jeans, the quality of the garment you're purchasing IS cheap. |

what nev said...
if i like something i buy it. i usually don't look at the price to decide if i want it or not. if it fits...i buy it. hell, if it was $30 or $300, im going to buy it regardless. i never once even thought that you were cheap. i don't know you. and i don't know how you dress. if you love pants...great. i love pants too. |

imo you should consider spending a lil more on your clothes. in most cases when it comes to clothing, you get what you pay for. but wear whatever you like and are most comfortable in, that's the theme in boboburbia. |
