recognizing faces
Everyone's norm seems to be that they can always place a face, but forget names.
Me? I'm the other way around. Believe me, it sucks and it's embarrassing. Try never forgetting your primary school classmates' first and last names, but not recognizing someone you've known on and off for years. Try knowing phone numbers and birthdates like a directory, but totally blanking out when someone comes up to you, smiles and says something totally mortifying like, "Hey Elysha? How's that job going? You still working on that project we were talking about a couple of months ago? How's.... (blah blah blah personal details)" .. and you have NO CLUE. I think I need to start a little database of photographs on my Palm Pilot. And then carry around a retinal scanner to match people up with them. And then the few times I take a chance and guess who somebody is.. I'm often wrong!! arrrgh. |

I remember names and faces really well... But usually too well for the people I recognize bc if I do bother talking to them I have to go thru a whole song and dance trying to jog their memory. Then the few times I don't bother, those people remember me and start off by coming up to me and saying "Hi snob". Wtf!? I can't win...
I also have a knack for remembering phone numbers, whether I need to or not. Weird. You're palm profile and retinal scan sounds like a damn good idear Illy. :y: |

I can dig what your saying. And i am one to be known for my "im horrible with names" disclaimer.
I think its because all the people i have crammed into such a small amount of time vs same faces for 5 years (highschool) but i rule at remebering numbers and directions. lol *eat more Ginka Biloba[sp?] and Tuna oil* |
