The fuckin key point here is that it's not your house. What? You think you automatically gain control of any room you're in in that house? You have NO say whatsoever. Maybe your "man" should speak up and say something to his father.

The fact is is that you don't have to be there breathing what technically is their air.

Its alright for a company to run a slave labour sweat shop because they pay the bills on the piece of property and the workers can leave at any time.
1. It is ok to give someone the option of whether or not they want posion in their food. If they don't want it, they can say "no". Just like Galaxie can choose to leave.

2. You compared slavery to second hand smoke in the privacy of someone else's home? Uneducated dimwit... WHAT!?

If someone came into my home and told me what to do I would ask them to leave and tell them they are no longer welcome in my house. Who do you think you are? Telling someone what to do in their house. If you are so allergic to smoke I suggest you go back to your own house and do what you want to do there.

Not only is she trying to tell her BF's parents what to do in their own house, she also told every smoker in the WHOLE world what to do...

I understand that a lot of people feel that if someone were to tell them how to live in their own house they would be offended. Fair enough. But what if your son (or daughter) was allergic to something you were doing. Then would you be smoking in the house in the first place? Grady is also allergic, not just Natalie. And Grady lives there. And they were considerate enough to not smoke in the house up until a couple weeks ago.

I think Grady should say something to his Dad, if he hasn't already. He is the one who lives there. But I see nothing wrong with Natalie venting about this in the appropriate section. I think a lot of people have jumped to the conclusion that Natalie is going to or already has told Grady's Dad and his Dad's gf not to smoke in their own house. I haven't read that to be a fact in any of her posts yet. I don't think her "letter" to Grady's Dad and his Dad's gf was actually based on a conversation that took place. But who knows, right? If she did I give her a hi5 for standing up for what she believes in. But I think that if she wants to make the best impact, she should help Grady with how he wants to approach the situation with his family, so that he can tell them himself. I think it would be better received that way. But m'eh... whatever. Get it dealt with. Smoke allergies are a bitch.

I agree with the fact that Grady should say something.

If some of the responses have came back alittle harsh... it's just because she came off that way when explaining herself.

No, I wouldn't smoke if my child was allergic. I was more offended about the telling someone what to do in their own house thing. I still find it rude and un-called for. I agree that it should be Grady that goes to his father about the situation.

^ Agreed. In my life I have bit my tongue many times about things that bother me to do with how people conduct themselves in their own homes, bc it is just that; their own home.

I'm sure Grady is more than capable of taking care of this if he wants to. He should, IMO because his health is at risk (especially since he is allergic).

And Hemi57 (sorry, I dunno your real name), if Nat expressed great passion on this board, hit her back with it by all means. It makes things interesting! So long as people know what they are debating about and can support what they are saying, it makes for a good read. I think it's great when people get worked up about stuff, no matter what side they are on. It's even better if they are open-minded and learn a thing or two from the opposing argument. :)

My name is Kyle, by the way.

Hahah, perfect!

"This guy just blatantly drove through the intersection where I was getting a newspaper not 20 feet away. What an inconsiderate prick! Poisoning me with his emissions and not even asking me first!"
