For example - hunting tigers to near extinction, the Japanese still killing lots of whales and eating them but claiming it's "research", horny old rich guys in Asia buying rhino and elephant parts as aphrodesiacs resulting in thousand of these animals being killed. And these videos like about the racoons coming out regularly.
My friend from Taiwan telling me that "black dogs taste best" didn't help either.

I thought the issue was more about killing animals in a tortorous fashion rather than just simply killing them. but if we're talking about simply killing animals, I'd like to mention that after trying to become a vegan, I've realized the ridiculous amount of animal products we have in this society. and you know, it takes a lot of dead and/or tortured animals to produce all these animal products.
and what about the people living in north america who love fur? there are countless articles, websites and other materials about torturous ways an animal gets killed to get their fur. is it ok to assume that western society is full of sick fucks because we got people like JLo glamorizing fur coats as a fashion statement? I certainly hope not. :P

I saw a similar, much shorter video clip back in grade 6 at school. looking back, I have no idea why they showed something so graphic! it was traumatizing because harp seals used to be my favorite animal back in grade 6 :(
and why is it so wrong to eat a dog anyway? is it because they're cuter than pigs, cows or chickens?
I'm not trying to deliberately attack you or anything tvmann, but I just think it's important to realize that us, as a western society are not completely detached from all this animal cruelty.
