creepy stalker at work
I work at a small robotics company with about 20 employees, and i think the janitor here has a crush on me.... he gives me the look diddlers give little boys when they're bending over. and follows me around the office whenever he can. whether im etching circuit boards or cutting or populating them. he always 'coincidentally' needs to sweep the floors wherever i work, WHENEVER i work there. and heres the worst thing: Whenever i go take a dump he follows me in and starts sweeping or cleaning the other stall's etc... during the first few summers its like he took note of my shitting patterns. usually around 11am... and he'd always wait for me outside of the washroom door with a look on his face like "hello there sonny... you KNOW you wanna go poo poo.. ehheheheh"... then id walk away avoiding eye contact pretending i never needed to take a shit in the first place. So for the past fre years iv been taking shits at random times to avoid the awkwardness. sucking it in if needed. Iv been working here for about 6 years now and it's been the same since i got here in 1999. Perhaps its becaus im the youngest one here (20)?. if it isnt a sick twisted crush then its the kinda amusements parents have when their kids do something that amuse or impress them. kinda like he's thinking "wow, look at that youngin work! how prescious!"... Either way its fucking annoying.... if wish he'd just not stare me down like a locked target and go abou his own business like every other employee here...

uhhh. why have you not filed a complaint to your head boss or department super? this is your own fault for letting it go on for so long. something should have been done after the first couple of instances you noticed. if your embarrassed (god knows why) then send an email with the issue. you should not have to work under such circumstances. if your uncomfortable, do something about it ?!!

complaints aren't something that go over well at this company. just the way it is... plus. i think he has some sort of mental disability.. he's pretty old and has social workers come in once in a while. i dont know what the deal is, never asked.
its just a nuissance.. not a real threat but annoying, nothing id quit my job over or make that big of a deal over, if i mentioned it to my boss, it WILL become a big deal... oh yeah, i forgot to put this at the end of my original post: Anyone else experience similar issues?? |

dude if your uncomfortable then something should be said. if you have to think "how can I avoid him" several times a day, then its disrupting your work environment. speak up for yourself, if you've been at this company for six years then they should take your concerns into consideration!

yeah..you should deffinatly say something. even if complaints "dont go over well" they should still know. if something were to happen after you told your boss and they didnt do anything they could get in big shit. and if its disrupting your work then thats also not good.
but thats really creepy and i hope it works out for you. |

but yah dude, just seriously write a complaint, fuck them if it doesnt go "over" that well, they cant fire you for writing a complaint, whats the worst that can happen? if they fire you or anything you can milk that shit and get money out of it, because they legaly cant do it, especially if your the one being stalked, i would have either said something, or got out of that job 5 years ago if I were you, is it worth the money? maybe the guys some crack head or something

Yeah i was 15 when i started working here, iv been soldering with my feet since i was 8 :)
i overheard some other coworkers talking today about him taking too many kleenexes from her desk. no one says anything to him no matter what he does because they all feel bad for him.... "he's handicapped, its not his fault" kinda deal I'll take on this issue in small steps. i'll try giving him the message that im annoyed, no smiles pity-smiles back, look at him with the wtf-look in my face. if that doesnt work i'll get verbal... ill say something like "why are you smiling? do you need something?" i bet he's say something corny like "its nice to see a young lad like ya here" anyways i was only there for reading week which is now over, i'll go back in the summer tho. i'll have a good plan by then |
